    Preface

THE NOVEL ENIGMATIC Love commences with Arib taking his newlywed wife, Sia, to a Rajasthan resort, where the enigmatic Piano Bhedi Khel unfolds. Behind this resort lies the Titalgarh State Road, leading Sia to Titalgarh, where she faces accusations of witchcraft, narrowly escaping a burning attempt. Arib intervenes, saving her, but Sia incurs a curse from the village elder.

Subsequently cursed, Sia and Arib embark on a tumultuous journey. They encounter Maharaj Abhinandan and Maharani Anupamadevi, leading to mistaken identities in the midst of the mysterious piano game. Titalgarh suffers from the curse of Maharani Anupamadevi, rendering its people wandering souls.

Upon discovering the curse’s truth, Sia endeavors to liberate Titalgarh, met with Arib’s reluctant support. Unraveling numerous mysteries, Sia learns she is the ninth generation daughter-in-law but refrains from revealing this truth to Arib, the ninth generation prince. Through Sia’s persistent efforts, Titalgarh eventually breaks free from the curse, accompanied by tumult in Arib and Sia’s love story.

    Enigmatic  Love

After their wedding, instead of heading home, Arib took Sia directly to the airport. Sia was taken aback by the sight of an airport instead of their new house. Before she could inquire about this unexpected change, Arib opened the car door and stepped out. Approaching Sia’s side of the car, he extended his hand and helped her out.

Sia was about to speak, but Arib gently placed a finger on her lips, signalling her to be quiet. He then extended his hand towards Sia and said, Queen of my heart!

Sia couldn’t help but laugh before she could respond. She took his hand, and they got out of the car together. Sia held up the red silk lehenga she was wearing, making sure it didn’t touch the ground. She adjusted her odhani and glanced at her reflection in the car’s side mirror. Arib stood by, observing Sia with a soft smile, lost In memories of the day they had first met.

    FLASHBACK: TWO YEARS ago...

(ON ONE SIDE, A FAIR-skinned girl of five feet tall carried a basket filled with flower petals. On the other side, Arib was dismounting his bike when he accidentally collided with the girl, causing him to fall. The flower petals scattered in the air, and the girl fell to the ground, exclaiming, Oh no!

Startled by the collision and the girl’s voice, Arib’s expression changed. He was six feet tall, with curly hair, brown eyes, and a fair complexion. His strong physique and attractive appearance could easily capture anyone’s heart. Despite being popular among college girls for his smile, he focused solely on his studies. His handsome face now looked even more captivating.

Arib turned his attention to the girl lying on the ground, wearing a navy blue short t-shirt and shorts. He was about to offer help when he noticed the time was ten o’clock at night. He recalled recent news about a girl scamming young men in the area, leading him to hesitate. Arib pulled out his mobile phone, started recording a video, and secured his bike on its stand. Approaching the girl, he asked, Hey! You’ve been down for quite a while, huh?

Expecting a light response, Arib looked at her, only to find the girl looking back at him with anger. Despite her anger, her rosy face framed by silky hair caught Arib’s attention. Her glasses added to her allure, making her eyes and face even more captivating. After adjusting her glasses, she remarked, Well, my glasses are safe.

Taken aback by her response, Arib muttered inwardly, Is she crazy? She fell and is worried about her glasses. I can’t understand her anger over glasses. I better apologize and leave.

As he extended his hand again, Arib hesitated. Wanting to apologize and leave, he asked, Do you need help getting up, or should I go?

I don’t need help. Am I going to stand up with your help?

Her words left Arib puzzled. He contemplated, Is she really crazy? She fell and doesn’t want help? Is she trying to lure me? I better leave before anything goes wrong.

With that thought, Arib moved toward his bike, put on his helmet, and said, Sorry for not paying attention! How much did your flower basket cost? I can use Google Pay.

Are you asking for my number directly? Just so you know, I don’t use Google Pay, Phone Pay, Paytm, BHIM, Yo, or anything.

Arib looked up again, and before he could react, the girl stood up and said, Get off the bike!

Her words surprised Arib. He dismounted the bike more carefully this time. The girl came closer, pushed him aside, and started fixing her appearance using his bike’s side mirror. Arib observed as she applied lip balm, straightened her hair, removed her glasses, and cleaned them.

Watching her, Arib found himself captivated by her behaviour. He muttered, Are you crazy? Why do you keep looking up?

Her words left Arib pondering, and he remained silent. He thought, She’s calling me crazy while acting strange herself. It’s ten o’clock at night, and she’s fixing her appearance. What was she doing with a flower basket so late at night? Should I ask her?

Before he could ask, he hesitated again, thinking, Is this some kind of trap? Is she the one who lures and scams men? I should leave before something goes wrong.

With this thought, he approached his bike and said, Excuse me, I need to go.

You knocked over my flower basket.

    What?

You knocked over my flower basket, and now I can’t deliver these petals. Where are you headed?

    I’m going to S.G. Road.

Perfect! My house is on the way. Could you drop me?

    Sure, why not?

Arib’s quick acceptance to help the girl left him regretting his earlier hesitations. He looked up and before he could utter a word to anyone, the girl said, I’m Sia Awasthi. And you?

    Arib Mehta.

You’re the one, right? Keshav Mehta’s son, the most popular guy in town? The one every girl in the city is crazy about?

    Yes, that’s me.

Great! This should be interesting. Drop me off, I’m running late.

As this thought crossed her mind, Sia looked at the side mirror again, adjusting her appearance.)

    Two years later...

Sia gazed at herself in the mirror, and Arib gazed at her with affection. Suddenly, Sia caught his gaze, and Arib quickly straightened up, saying, So, Mr. Husband, you’re reminiscing about the day we first met, the day you ended up on the ground.

Yeah, but Sia, it was an accident.

    You’re nuts.

    I knew you’d say that.

Yes, and why not? Mr. Author.

With a laugh, Sia’s smile was contagious, prompting Arib to chuckle as well. In that moment, she remembered and inquired,

Arib, after marriage, most brides go to their husband’s house, but you brought me directly to the airport. Dad is a billionaire and has houses abroad! Yet, I wanted to go to our home here after marriage. Why did you take me to the airport?

Sia was curious to know. Arib’s face lit up with a smile as he looked at her. Placing his hand gently on Sia’s shoulder, he explained,

It’s true you’re quite modern, but I also understand how important family is to you. I knew you wanted to head straight to our house after the wedding, but I’m taking you directly to our honeymoon.

What! But why go there right after that? What’s the hurry for such a honeymoon?

Sia, most couples go on their honeymoon sometime after marriage, but I wish I could go on a honeymoon right after the wedding, with you.

Arib, you’re quite crazy. We can go on a honeymoon later. For now, let’s head home and complete the remaining rituals.

Hearing this, Arib playfully held Sia by the waist and leaned her against the car, gazing into her eyes lovingly. Sia blushed and returned his gaze affectionately. She tried to move away, but Arib’s grip was strong, preventing her from escaping.

Arib leaned in to kiss Sia, but she placed her hand between them, stopping him. She managed to break free from his arms and began to walk away, only for Arib to pull her back by the waist. Arib rested his head on Sia’s shoulder and started kissing her neck as she released her arms and hugged him. After the embrace, she gently chided,

Arib, remember we’re in public. Let’s be a bit reserved here.

Oh, right, I forgot. But that’s not entirely my fault!

    Then whose fault is it?

    Blame it on you.

Silly Arib, what am I going to do with you!

Arib, don’t forget you now have a wife who’s head over heels for you. By the way, you’re officially Mr. Arib Mehta now.

Sia gazed at Arib lovingly upon hearing this, and spoke,

Arib, when we first met, I told you that many girls in town have a crush on you. Truth be told, I was one of them too. I never told you, but I fell in love with you. I didn’t expect my dream to come true so soon. The one I wished to be with forever became my husband. I never thought this would happen. Now that I have you, there’s nothing else I need in life.

Arib’s happiness was evident as he responded affectionately,

Sia, I didn’t know what love was until I met you. You taught me how to love, and I prayed just as earnestly as you did to have you as my wife. Now, let’s put all this aside and get going; otherwise, the flight will take off!

Yes, but where are we going? And why am I flying with this heavy lehenga?

Hey, I’ve brought your change of clothes. Go inside and change in the restroom.

No need to tell me twice! Sixteen Mondays of fasting led to the perfect husband.

Arib smiled in response. Sia’s joy was palpable. She gazed at Arib for a while. Arib caught her eye and teased,

I know I look dashing in this sherwani, but remember, it’s a public place. People are watching us as we walk by. Keep it cool.

Oh, don’t worry, husband! You’re not that handsome that I’ll lose my senses. I just love your smile, and my purpose in life is to keep that smile on your face.

That’s sweet, but if I keep smiling like that, people will start mistaking me for you.

    Like me?

Absolutely crazy. Arib burst into laughter again.

Arib teased Sia for being crazy, but she was delighted to see him smile. After a while, Arib said,

Alright, let’s go. We have a long journey to reach the resort in Jaipur.

We’re going to Rajasthan? For our honeymoon?

    Yes, indeed.

I thought we were going to Shimla Manali for our honeymoon, but you’re taking me to Rajasthan.

Hey, you’ll forget all about Shimla Manali once you see that resort. The resort is nestled in the midst of mountains, just like Shimla Manali. I won’t exaggerate, though. You can check it out with me tomorrow evening.

Arib, I can’t believe that Rajasthan can also have that Shimla Manali vibe! I must admit, I’m a bit annoyed.

    Why, again?

Did you know where I was supposed to go for my honeymoon? And you’re still taking me here?

Sia, I can’t answer all your questions right now. You’ll find all the answers where we’re going. Trust me, you won’t be tired of telling me how amazed you are!

    So, we’re heading somewhere special?

Yes, that place is special, just like you.

That’s so sweet, Arib. You always manage to make me feel special.

Come on, let’s head in. You’re already crazy about me. If you keep listening to me here, you might get even crazier, and then I’d have to send you to a mental hospital instead of a honeymoon. Instead...

With that, Arib smiled and led Sia into the airport, holding her hand. Sia’s heart was full of happiness. She walked with Arib, occasionally stealing glances at him. She was so engrossed in his company that she hardly noticed her surroundings. As they entered the airport together, only two thoughts filled her mind.

Upon entering the airport, Sia and Arib proceeded to change their clothes. Once dressed, they returned inside. Arib noticed the bangle on Sia's hand and remarked,

Sia, you should've taken off this bangle too.

Sia replied, exclaiming, Oh no, this bangle is going to be stuck on my hand for a month. I can't remove it!

Curious, Arib inquired, Why's that, Sia?

Because, dear husband, my love for you knows no bounds, and this bangle is a symbol of that love.

Touched by her words, Arib embraced Sia and gently kissed her on the forehead.

Arib and Sia strolled hand in hand at the airport. Simultaneously, an announcement resonated through the terminal,

Passenger of Indigo flight M.G. 004 K, heading from Mumbai to Rajasthan, is requested to proceed to the gate for boarding.

In response to this announcement, Arib cast a tender smile toward Sia. The choice of Rajasthan as a honeymoon destination, made by Arib for Sia, remained undecided. Sia gazed at Arib and voiced her thoughts,

Do you truly believe the resort in Rajasthan will surpass Shimla and Manali as an ideal honeymoon spot for us?

Hey Sia, what about you? Trust me, you'll enjoy it there. It'll be fantastic! Stop questioning and hurry, or we'll miss our flight.

Alright Arib, I'll go with your suggestion. After all, I've vowed to believe everything you say.

Okay Sia, if you're not keen, we won't go to Rajasthan for our honeymoon. Let's head back home.

Really? Are we not actually going there? Sia exclaimed eagerly.

    No, we're not really going.

Having said that, Arib took Sia's hand and they moved on. Sia suddenly halted and remarked,

Hey foolish, I was just kidding. You're truly sweet. We are indeed heading to Rajasthan for our honeymoon. Don't get so worked up.

No, we're not going anymore. First they ruin the mood, and then they say we're going. You know, that place must be fantastic. We're not going now.

Hey, I'm sorry! Apologies on the eve of our wedding. Oh well, I guess I'll have to endure this for the rest of my life, if he keeps apologizing like this...

Don't worry too much, Sia. Let's head back.

Hey Arib, another apology? Alright, let's go to Rajasthan for our honeymoon.

With that, Sia planted a kiss on Arib's cheek. Arib grinned, and Sia continued,

You look even better when you smile. Keep smiling like this. Remember, I'm ready to face anything with a smile, even if it's a trip through hell.

No, now we're definitely going to Rajasthan. Stop discussing and let's move quickly, or we'll miss our flight and end up booking a one-way ticket to hell.

    Good luck, Sia added.

Saying so, Sia covered Arib's mouth with her hand, and they set off for their flight. After a journey of two and a half hours, they reached Jaipur. Upon arrival, Sia remarked,

Arib, this is the Pink City, isn't it? Can't we have our honeymoon here?

Driver, turn the car around. We're going back, Arib said, his expression slightly annoyed.

    Arib, I was just joking.

So, Sia, where are we exactly?

Arib chuckled and Sia joined in laughter. The taxi ride continued for four hours. Both Arib and Sia were exhausted by the journey. Sia dozed off, her head resting on Arib's shoulder, and Arib too closed his eyes. Suddenly, the taxi driver slammed on the brakes, startling both Sia and Arib awake. After sharing a glance, they turned to the driver, and Arib asked,

Why did you stop the car so abruptly?

A woman appeared in the middle of the road, and I had to brake suddenly. I've been honking, but she's not moving. The resort is just five minutes away from here. If she moves, I can get you there in two minutes.

    Look down below, Arib instructed.

    Yes, sir, I see.

The taxi driver and Arib got out of the car. Sia was still seated in the vehicle and noticed a signboard that read,

    Path to Titalgarh Village.

Reading it, she smiled and commented, What a peculiar name for a village. The taxi driver mentioned the resort is just two minutes away. Where have you brought me for our honeymoon, Arib?

Sia stepped out of the car, curious about the surroundings. The place was stunning, surrounded by mountains and forests, which filled her with joy. She glanced through the rear-view mirror, observing Arib and the taxi driver attempting to shoo away an old man. Feeling she should join them, Sia approached and held Arib's hand. Arib looked at her and inquired,

Why did you come out of the car?

I felt a bit too cooped up inside.

Alright, but stand here holding my hand.

"Arib, I've vowed to hold this hand for life, just like
