CHAPTER 48 Promises are meant to be broken

Nate, please, I'm begging you to listen to me, I can't do that to your father, Beatrice begs as she cries and kneels in front of Nate. Beatrice is hurt because of what Nate said, and Nate is not listening to her, which makes her feel that she doesn't have anyone to listen to her.

    Beatrice feels alone again.

I know I did something bad in the past, but I already changed Nate, Beatrice said, but Nate didn't listen and said anything to her again. His ears and heart were closed this time as he was hurt by what happened to his dad.

Stop it, Beatrice, just stop, Nate said coldly.

Your fingerprints are detected on the knife. Clerophine saw you with Dad's body, yet you're telling me you didn't do that? What a pathetic excuse, Beatrice. No one will believe you again. Nate said and turned his back to Beatrice, which made Beatrice cry more as she saw how he turned his back on her.

Leave me alone, leave my damn fucking life, Nate added before he walked away from her back to the exit door of the mansion. Beatrice heard his car engine start and leave the place.

Beatrice was left alone crying while kneeling on the floor, she didn't imagine that this would happen, and that Nate would turn his back on her.

At this very point, she couldn't express her feelings and feelings now that she was alone again. The word' promises are meant to be broken' is already planted in her mind as Nate says those words to her.

Beatrice tried everything to explain her side, but no one listened again, she felt Deja Vu as she remembered how she begged someone to listen and believe her, but no one did. The person who only believed in her was her sister, Margarett.

Because of Nate's decision, Beatrice packed her things, and before she left the mansion, she left a note in Nate's room.

As Beatrice left the mansion, she walked while crying, at this moment, she wished that her sister was by her side. She felt empty again as she walked away from the mansion.

She admitted to herself that she did love Nate, and that's why Beatrice changed for him because she wanted to prove to him that his decision to accept her again would not be a waste.

Beatrice stopped walking when she felt something from above, the rain fell, which made her smile in pain as she looked from above while her tears kept falling.

I think Margarett is also crying right now, Beatrice said as she just let her get wet from the rain.

When the rain becomes stronger, Beatrice laughs as if the rain is a joke, she doesn't care if someone sees her and thinks she's crazy. Beatrice is numb now, and her feelings become numb also.

You're letting yourself catch a cold, someone from behind her said, so Beatrice slowly looked at the man who spoke and saw Quiver, whose distance was close to her now and was holding an umbrella.

Nate will be mad if he saw you like this, Quiver added, so Beatrice laughed because of what he said.

Your friend kicked me out of his life now, Beatrice said as she felt confused about how she could start again.

I tried to explain my side to him, but his ears are closed for me, Beatrice said, and her tears fell again; this time, Quiver saw that, making him mad seeing Beatrice crying and showering from the rain.

I never thought that this would hurt me so much, Beatrice added as she tapped her chest.

I never thought that I would be hurt this so badly. I wish I had just run away from Nate when he knew who I was so that he couldn't make me feel how much he loved me and dumped me without listening. Beatrice said.

Quiver feels sad and angry at the same time. Sad because he knew that Nate and Beatrice were both hurting and angry because she saw Beatrice crying because of Nate.

Beatrice looked like her sister very much. That's why Quiver sees Beatrice as Margarett, as she is crying.

Quiver pulled Beatrice's wet body to him and hugged her, which made Beatrice stunned, Quiver put down the umbrella he was holding and tapped Beatrice back.

You can tell anything you want. Rant, shout, and cry to my arms just to let go of what you feel now, to lessen your suffering from sadness. Quiver said, which made Beatrice's tears form again, and she knew now that someone was still willing to listen to her.

After her sister dies and Nate dumps her, Quiver is here hugging her and ensuring he will listen to her rants.

    I. I just want to get out of this place. Beatrice said as her tears fell. Quiver hears her little sobs. That's why he closes his eyes as he imagines that Margarita is the one who is crying now.

I just wanted to tell Nate my side… but he didn't give me a chance...

I thought…. I thought he wouldn't let me feel sad as he promised me… Beatrice continued her rants.

But I guess he was right. Those promises are made to be broken... Beatrice added that Quiver hugged her tight to make her feel that she was not alone.

I… I just want to start a new life again... Beatrice whispered. As Nate will terminate our mateship... she added.

Quiver looked at her and wiped her tears; they were wet by the rain.

I will help you to start a new life again. Far away from here, Quiver said while looking at Beatrice.

On the other hand, Nate stopped the car far from the village as the rain started to drop. He turned his car back to his mansion to tell Beatrice to leave the house tomorrow as the rain began to fall, but Nate didn't reach his mansion as he saw Beatrice looking at the sky and letting her body wet from the rain.

What's going on in her mind? Nate asked himself and picked up the umbrella beside him and was about to get out of his car when he saw Quiver running in Beatrice's direction.

Nate watched them and decided not to continue to go to Beatrice as he saw how Quiver put down its umbrella and hugged Beatrice.

He was stunned for a second while watching them until Nate decided to leave the place with his cold aura.

    CHAPTER 49 Termination and Mission

Beatrice is looking at the Termination paper she was holding when she saw that Nate successfully signed his part, It hurts for Beatrice to know that Nate signed the termination paper of their mateship, this gives her the Idea that Nate can't accept her anymore and she needs to start a new life without Nate.

Beatrice took a deep breath, put the paper on the mini table, and looked at the man who brought the paper to her.

How is he? Beatrice asked. Rayver took a deep breath before he sipped his tea and put it back on the mini table.

He can't still process all the happenings in his mind, Rayver said, looking at Beatrice. He was hurt to know you're the suspect in his father's death. He added, Beatrice just nodded her head and looked in the other direction as she heard Rayver's words. Five days passed when Nate decided to kick them out of Beatrice at his mansion. Beatrice had lived in Quiver's place since he offered her, and she accepted his offer as she knew she couldn't go anywhere. She thought about returning to her parent's place, but her pride didn't let her since she promised herself she wouldn't need their help anymore.

What really happened to the party? Rayver asked, so Beatrice looked at him, and their eyes met. Beatrice gave him a bitter smile and shook her head.

Nothing, I think even if I tell you what eally happened, you wouldn't believe me… She said and looked in the other direction.

Just like what Nate did, she added, Rayver could see her sadness as she said those words, he knew that Beatrice was not the one who killed Gastov because he could sense it and smell her words if she was telling the truth.

Rayver's nose never lies to him, which is his best asset regarding power.

I will listen, Rayver said, so Beatrice looked at him again. He saw how Beatrice swallowed her saliva and took a deep breath.

I was about to go to the bathroom when a guy approached me and told me that Papa was calling me. He even gave me the key to Papa's room, so I was thinking that time that we would discuss something about Nate. Beatrice starts to tell him what happened. Rayver's forehead suddenly frowns as he hears her first statement.

I go to the room he was given and open the door using the key he gave me. When I entered the room, I didn't see Papa there, so I came into the room, and there I saw Papa lying on the bed, showering at his own blood. Beatrice said, so Rayver's frown was gone as she said those words.

He couldn't smell lies in her words, and how she acted was indeed true to what she was saying.

Did you see anyone from the room? Rayver asked, Beatrice shook her head in answer.

There is no one, but Clerophine suddenly entered the room seconds ago after I saw the body, Beatrice said, so Rayver looked in the other direction.

Silence covered them after Beatrice told how she saw the body.

Thank you, Beatrice said as she put a ballpoint in her bag and started signing the termination of mateship paper in front of her.

Rayver just watched her sign the contract.

Thank you for listening to me, Beatrice said as she signed the paper. Beatrice looked at Rayver again and smiled at him.

At least someone is listening to me now. She added and put the pen back in her bag.

Please look for Nate always, Beatrice said, smiling at him bitterly.

I know that he is still hurt at this moment and needs someone to accompany him, Beatrice added, and her tears started to form in her eyes, Rayver saw that, so he looked away.

Tell him thank you for what he did to me, Beatrice said and took a deep breath before she stood up in her seat. It was a nice memory to meet him. She added before she walked away from Rayver, who was stunned to his place as he witnessed her crying.

On the other hand, Nate is standing in front of his father's tombstone. As he looks at the name on the stone, Nate takes a deep breath and puts the candle and wine bottle beside Gastov's grave. The pain in Nate's heart is still there. He didn't know how to start now since his father died, and he successfully filed a termination of mateship in the supreme legal team, Nate had already signed the termination paper and still waiting for Beatrice to sign the paper for termination to be successful.

Mr. Nate. Nate heard Rayver's voice, since Rayver got the news regarding Gastov's death, he returned to Nate to assist him in his father's funeral and burial. Rayver knows that Nate can't accept the fact that Beatrice was the one who killed his father, and Rayver is also shocked about the news since the last time he remembered, he left them okay.

There is some part of Rayver that makes him feel uncomfortable, and that part will be his new mission to know about.

Ms. Beatrice successfully signed the termination paper, Rayver said as he returned the termination to Nate. Nate didn't look at him; his mood had changed since hearing Rayver's news.

Rayver just watched Nate from his back, and even if he didn't see Nate's face, he knew that Nate had become sad as he said the news.

Rayver is confused as to why Nate suddenly kicked Beatrice out of his mansion and terminated their mateship without gathering some information about the real reason for his dad's death.

What Rayver's thinking now is that Nate has been blinded by the present and never looked for the future, and he knows that it would end up in this. That's why he plans to do his so-called 'own mission.'

That's great, Nate said coldly as he remembered how Quiver hugged Beatrice under the rain the last time he saw them.

We are both free, Nate added, so Rayver stared quietly at him.

Ms. Beatrice also told me that she was thankful for what you did to her, Rayver said. Nate secretly swallowed as he heard. Rayver's words.

Is this really what you want, Mr. Nate? Rayver asked, Nate didn't answer him for a minute and looked at him with his cold aura.

Yes. He said shortly before he walked away from Rayver.

Rayver watched him and took a deep breath as he knew that Nate and Beatrice were both hurting in this situation.

    CHAPTER 50 Rayver’s Mission

Another day passed, and Rayver witnessed how Nate isolated himself in his mansion away from other people, Nate also forgot his responsibilities as the Alpha of the white clan and his duties in his business. Rayver can't stand seeing Nate like this. That's why he is standing in front of Quiver's mansion and waiting patiently for the person who will open the gate for him.

He convinced himself to talk to Beatrice as he knew she was the only way for Nate to regain his old self. They just needed to hear each other, and Rayver was sure their relationship would be fixed again after listening to each other's side.

Hello, who are you looking at? A maid opened the gate for him, Rayver looked at the maid and smiled.

Hello, I am Rayver. Is Beatrice there? Can you please inform her that I am here? Rayver said politely as he was hoping for Beatrice to face her.

Oh, Ms. Beatrice and Mr. Quiver are on their trip now. They will go out of town. The maid said, so Rayver was stunned for a second.

Rayver swallowed his saliva and smiled bitterly at the maid.

Did you know when they will come back? Rayver asked. The maid shook her head as an answer.

Rayver took a deep breath and nodded hopefully as the maid answered him.

He turned his back on the maid, went to his car, and drove back to Nate's mansion. His hope vanished as he knew about Beatrice and Quiver running out of town.

Rayver thinks again about another plan to bring the old Nate, as he is also worried about his master and their clan's business.

He knows their biggest downfall will be Nate's inability to do business again.

As Rayver parked his car in front of Nate's mansion, he noticed the black limousine parked in front of the gate, so Rayver quickly got out of his car and walked inside the mansion.

As he entered the mansion, Clerophine and Celestine stood in the hall near the stairway facing Nate, who was still sleepy but had a cold aura.

We file the reports to the police office about the murder Beatrice did to your dad. Rayver heard Celestine and even saw how Nate's forehead frowned as he listened to his mother's words.

    You what?

We both went to the station earlier to file the case for Beatrice, Clerophine answered him, so Nate looked at the both of them with his annoyed eyes.

Why? Nate asked. That's why Clerophine laughed, and Celestine rolled her eyes.

Of course, to report her crime. We need justice for what she did to your dad, Nate. Celestine said, so Nate frowned more.

You shouldn't do that anymore! Nate said, annoyed, as Celestine frowned.

Why not? Nate, she killed our father. Clerophine said, which made Rayver look at her as he smelled something to her words.

Aren't you wanted to give Dad justice for what she did? Clerophine added that's why Rayver became serious this time. He was thinking of something but needed more evidence to prove his suspicions.

Dad doesn't like more fights, Nate said, so Clerophine laughed.

Dad is not here anymore because of his kindness to that snake he was killed, he let his guard down and kept close to that murderer. That's why he died. Clerophine said.

Rayver was just watching them as he knew that
