Day 1

Lamentations 3:22-24 (NIV)

Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, The Lord is my portion; therefore, I will wait for Him.

It is a NEW day!

As you enter each day, there resides a fresh power, a power supplied only by the All Sufficient One. When we embrace the NEW day with an open heart and mind, we make room for the NEW to invade our lives and transform us.

Newness can be scary. The old ways are comfortable and seductive, keeping us trapped in old patterns that do not serve us. But letting go of the old allows us to receive the blessings of all the NEW encounters, people, and surprises of each day. When we enter each day with a yielded heart, we can begin a lifestyle of NEW.

My question for you today is, Will you allow your heart and mind to embrace the NEW?

The hope of this 30-Day Devotional is to open your heart to say yes to the NEW, to avail yourself to the daily miracles that are everywhere yet so easy to miss. You’ll discover that as you embrace daily the impartation of the NEW, great manifestations will begin to happen.

The benefit of the NEW outweighs all that is old, dormant, and stagnant.

In this sacred moment, let us declare, My NEW is here and now.

Dare to embrace the NEW and relinquish the old patterns which no longer serve you. Yesterday is over and complete. Tomorrow is NEW and fresh full of grace and glory. Let us step courageously into the NEW!!!

Tasting the Goodness

O taste and see that the Lord is good. How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!

There are so many things in life that our appetites crave: power, position, the acquisition of new homes and cars, etc. As wonderful as these things can be, they are merely pleasantries that bring temporary satisfaction to the true hungers of the soul.

We spend countless days and weeks conjuring up plans on how to get these things. We exhaust our mental strength and emotions to the point of frustration. But in the quiet moments, exhausted from the rat race, we can hear a still small voice asking, Is this really all there is to life?

As we journey on the path to transformation, it is imperative that we rightly assess what is driving us and to daily remind ourselves of what matters most.

We all at some point have chased after material possessions hoping that they would fill our emptiness, all the ways we feel deficient and inadequate. But when we shift our focus to center on what truly matters, there is an assurance and peace that begin to flow around and towards us.

One of the greatest shifts our souls can experience is a realignment to a posture of gratitude. Gratitude is a powerful force that reveals what is of true quality in our lives. When we daily express our gratefulness, portals begin to open in our lives, allowing goodness to rush in and overflow in our spirits. Gratitude has its way of lifting us up high above the mundane. The awesome God and Creator of all humanity daily orchestrates encounters of His loving goodness to us.

The goodness of the Father stretches wide and deep into every part of our existence. Having the supreme experience of the Father’s goodness in our daily lives is matchless to anything else. The excitement of knowing that God is masterfully working on all that is good for us brings tears to the heart. He strategically plans deposits of good when we least expect it. I have come to discover the good which the Father desires for us is
