My Poetry

Poetry is from the bottom of your heart,

It's only one man's dreams, desires, or art,

I try to mix it up but I prefer the kind that rhymes,

It comes from the past, present, or future most of the time,

It can cover main parts of a person's life,

Whether it be living, loving, or the strife,

One must be telling about his wonderful past,

Or the great things on his life that he wishes would last,

Now this covers the biggest part of my poetry and me,

I just hope that when you read it, you see it as I see,

You can tell about a lot of things that I've been through,

And the things that I have in my future plans to do,

I want it to be helpful or just a great feeling,

To make one smile deep inside, or to be just plain heeling,

So as you start to read my most wonderful rhymes,

Open your heart to the expression that are on these lines,

Because they are from the best or worst of my times,

And some are the greatest highlights that will soon be mine!

A Colt

Down through the swift blue river

In the neck of the green pines,

I knew of a horse called shiver

That was the finest color of wine!

He was a swift young colt

Faster than all of the rest,

With one of the strongest jolts

That made him one of the best!

The great scent of an old pine tree

With the waters of the river running,

I knew that we were meant to be

Because his actions we're so stunning!

The colt was so cautious with every move

He had the most muscular colt stance,

So skittish with his every single groove

As if it was meant for him to prance!

But how to tame this wild horse

And to keep his spirit alive,

Will be a cowboy's job of course

That will be one heck of a ride!

I'd have to catch this one wild beast

Or to let the wine-colored shiver room,

Then bringing him in for a barn yard feast

Or leave him in the pine trees of his home!

Loving A–Z

A is for all of the above!

B is because I'm in love!

C is like the candy she is!

D is the decisions we live!

E is the effort of us both!

F is the foundation in our growth!

G is for the God in our life!

H is like the honey in my wife!

I is because I really do care!

J is the joy of her being there!

K is like a kettle on a fire!

L is the love of our desire!

M is the money that we share!

N is the neatness of her hairs!

O is the opinion in us both!

P is the presence of our oath!

Q is because quitting isn't allowed!

R is remembering being proud!

S is the sweetness in our heart!

T is like together and never apart!

U is our unit of emotion!

V is like one vail of devotion!

W is always wanting us together!

X is to never X-out forever!

Y is because You are for me!

Z is a zillion times that we see!
