Winds of Change
Chapter 1:
Humble Beginnings
The sun had scarcely risen over the horizon, its hesitant light barely casting any warmth onto the chilly cobbled streets of Sunny Bay. The village, at the time, was merely a patchwork of rustic houses and wooden docks that harbored modest fishing boats. To any outsider, Sunny Bay was an inconspicuous fishing village, with no promise of the towering metropolis it would one day become.
Each morning, as dawn painted the sky with shades of pink and gold, the fishermen would head out to sea, their silhouettes gracefully gliding over the still waters. They cast their nets, shared old tales, and hoped for a generous bounty. The sound of seagulls, the salty sea breeze, and the rhythmic dance of the waves formed the heartbeat of Sunny Bay.
On one such morning, a young man named Albert, with deep-set eyes and raven-black hair, disembarked from a trawler with a bag slung over his shoulder. He wasn’t a fisherman. Albert was an opportunist, a dreamer, and a mechanic. With an unwavering conviction, he had left his home in the bustling city to make a life in Sunny Bay. He believed the village held promises beyond its fish-scented borders.
For the first few weeks, Albert camped by the bay, getting acquainted with the locals. He would offer his skills, mending fishing nets, patching boats, or fixing anything mechanical that the villagers brought to him. His deft fingers and uncanny knack for understanding machinery made him the talk of Sunny Bay. Before long, he was no longer a stranger but became a beacon of progress in the eyes of the villagers.
Albert’s foresight told him that with the growth of a village came the need for transportation. The horse carriages and boats wouldn’t suffice forever. The world was changing, and automobiles were fast becoming a symbol of prosperity and modernity. With the money he had saved and the trust he had earned, he bought a patch of land near the village center. It was here that he established his auto-repair shop - the first of its kind in Sunny Bay.
The wooden sign outside read, Albert’s Auto Magic.
The villagers chuckled at the name. To them, automobiles were a far-off dream. But Albert’s vision was clear. He
