    About the Author

My book is dedicated to my wife, Denise, my angel and rock.

I was inspired to write by my late brother David's death, also Muffy, my dog of fifteen years who died last week.

To all my friends who believed in me.

    My Time Today

    A laid-back day

    No sun today

    Morning doves in flight

    Some out sight

    Precious is our time

    On a day to unwind

    Many simple pleasures

    Is one's life treasure

    Enjoy this day

    Football on the way

    The playoff run

    Has just begun

    Uncertain

    A silent dark gray day

    Snow is on the way

    The wind starts to blow

As the cold air has a certain flow

    It will come fast

    How long will it last

    Wintry as it may be

I like to be out and see

    My vision clouded today

Like a haze come my way

    I hope it will clear

    What am I to fear

    Mind Swing

    Trees bend and sway

    On a glorious day

    A day filled with hope

    To help us cope

    A simple pleasure to pursue

It is what I will do

No love can cure my soul

    It's been a heavy toll

    I feel the pain

    Like a hard rain

    Today I feel sad

Another time I will be glad

    Solitude

The sun rises above the lake

    So still, no wake

    My day has begun

    Many issues undone

    A day to be away

A place to fish all day

    Much stress to release

    I'll find my peace

    I have a lot
