About this ebook

"I can't deal with your games anymore. Tell me the truth about Caroline," I asked.
To my surprise, Aiden's reaction was nothing like I expected. His face contorted with a cold, bitter laugh.
"Oh, please. You think you're worth my time? You're just a nobody, and I'm not going to make our thing public. You're just a convenient little toy for me to use,"
I took a deep breath, mustering all the strength I had left, and decided to play it cool. I needed to catch him off guard and show him that I was not going to be just another pawn in his twisted games.
"Is that how you see me, Aiden? Just a damn toy? Well, I've had enough of your games,"
Aiden looked taken aback, clearly not expecting this reaction from me. I could see the anger and frustration in his eyes, but I refused to back down.
"I reject you as my mate, Aiden," I continued, my voice firm and resolute.
***
In a world of werewolves and secrets, Leah conceals her pregnancy from everyone, even her mate, the popular and handsome Aiden.
When she discovers her true mate is Ian, the heir to the powerful Silver Pack, their lives entwine in unexpected ways.
Aiden's betrayal, Clara's support, and a three-year absence shape Leah's strength as a single mother.
As Ian reenters her life, can he prove himself worthy of her love, and will their bond survive the challenges of pack politics and lingering secrets?

    CHAPTER 46 Another Nightmare

    LEAH'S POV

Why are you calling me, Aiden? And how did you get my number? I asked.

I know that I shouldn't have Leah, but I felt I needed to talk to you and straighten things out. he said.

Straighten what out, Aiden? I asked, sounding angry.

Look, Leah, can we see and just talk? he asked.

No, we can't. We have nothing to say to each other. So don't you call me again and let's never cross path with each other again. I said, ending the call before he could say anything.

What the hell did he want from me? Was he here again to destroy my life?

Even though I had Lana out of it, I wasn't exactly happy because, I fell like a fool for someone who was a player and I allowed him sleep with me, thinking that I had found my mate all for him not to care.

I was angry, hurt, and confused. How could I have been so stupid? I should have known better than to trust someone like Aiden.

I felt like a fool for letting him into my life, for letting him fool me into thinking that he cared about me.

But the worst part was that I had allowed him to sleep with me. I had given him a part of myself that I could never get back.

I felt used and betrayed. I had given him everything and he had just tossed me aside like I was nothing. I felt humiliated and violated. I was filled with regret and anger.

In that moment, I had made a decision. I was done being a victim. I was done letting people walk all over me.

I was done being used and abused. I was going to take control of my life and my future. I was going to make sure that no one ever hurt me like this again.

But then, I met, Ian who had been nothing short of amazing and had been taking very good care of myself and Lana.

So surprised that Ian was my mate, made me even more happy and the new fact is that I would become his Luna and we would both leave in harmony.

It felt like a dream come true and I was really happy.

I went to bed and my mind wandered to Ian.

I couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to be his Luna. Would he be a good Alpha? Would we be happy together?

Would we be able to lead the pack with strength and wisdom? I thought about all the possibilities and then I drifted off to sleep, my mind full of dreams of a future with Ian.

The next morning, I woke up to the sound of Lana crying. I got out of bed and went to her room, where I found her crying in her room. I picked her up and hugged her.

What is it Lana? I asked.

Mummy, I had another nightmare. She said.

Oh, honey, I'm so sorry. What was it about? I asked, hoping to help her feel better.

I had a nightmare about a wolf. He was really big and scary, and he was chasing me. she said, trembling a little.

"That sounds like a really scary dream. I'm so sorry you had to go through that. But you know that it was just a dream, right? I said, trying to reassure her.

"But what if it wasn't just a dream?

"I know that's a scary thought, but I promise you that it was just a dream.

But what if it real mummy? What if it does come true and it comes after me? she asked, her eyes wide with fear.

It's not real, and they're not going to come after you. I'm right here, and I'm going to protect you from anything that might try to hurt you. I promise.

I could see that my words were starting to have an effect on her. Her trembling started to subside, and she looked a little more relaxed.

Thank you, mummy. I feel a little better now. she said, giving me a small smile.

I returned her smile, relieved that she was starting to feel better. "Of course, sweetheart. I'm always here for you, no matter what.

And I will always protect you from anything that might try to harm you. You can always count on me." I said, trying to give her as much reassurance as possible.

I could see that my words were starting to sink in, and she started to relax even more. I could tell that she was feeling safe and secure in my arms, and it filled my heart with joy.

Do you want me to tell you a story? I asked, hoping to help her relax even more.

Yes, please. she said, her voice full of anticipation.

Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Leah. She was the sweetest, most kind-hearted girl in the world.

One day, Leah was playing in her room when she heard a strange noise coming from outside. She looked out the window and saw a big, black wolf. It was staring at her with glowing red eyes. She was very scared, but she knew she had to be brave.

'Hello, wolf,' she said, trying to sound confident. 'What do you want?'

The wolf just stared at her, not saying a word.

'I asked you a question. What do you want?' Leah repeated, trying to be firm.

The wolf's mouth opened, and to Leah's surprise, it spoke. 'I want you to come with me,' it said, its voice deep and raspy.

Leah felt a chill run down her spine. 'I can't go with you. I have to stay with my family,' she said, trying to keep her voice steady.

'You don't have a choice,' the wolf growled. 'You must come with me, or else.'

Leah felt her heart pounding in her chest.

"Leah didn't know what to do. She was scared, but she knew she couldn't leave her family. She thought of her parents, her siblings, and her friends. She loved them all so much, and she didn't want to leave them. But the wolf wouldn't take no for an answer.

'Please, leave me alone,' Leah pleaded. 'I don't want to go with you. I want to stay with my family.'

But the wolf didn't care about her wishes. It continued to stare at her with its red eyes, and Leah could feel its presence looming over her.

"Suddenly, there was a loud banging on the door. Leah's heart leapt into her throat. Was it the wolf, trying to break in? She looked at the door, frozen in terror.

The banging grew louder, and Leah heard a voice shouting. 'Leah! Leah, are you in there?'

The voice sounded familiar, but Leah was too scared to respond.

'Leah, it's me, Simon! Open the door!'

Leah's eyes widened as recognition set in. It was Simon, her best friend.

"In a moment of desperation, Leah ran to the door and flung it open. Simon stood there, his face full of concern.

'Leah, what's wrong?' he asked, his voice full of worry.

Leah fell into his arms, sobbing. 'It was the wolf, Simon. It was here, and it wanted to take me away!' she cried.

Simon held her close, trying to comfort her. 'It's okay, Leah. You're safe now. I won't let anything happen to you.'

"Simon's words were like a balm to Leah's soul. She felt herself starting to relax, her sobs quieting down. 'I'm so glad you're here,' she said, looking up at him.

'I'm always here for you, Leah. No matter what. You can always count on me.' Simon said, a warm smile spreading across his face.

Leah smiled back, feeling a sense of relief. 'Thank you, Simon.'

    The end…

Oh mummy, that was so good. Lana said.

So you don't need to be scared of anything dear. Mummy won't let anything or anyone harm you. I said.

    Like Simon? she asked.

Yes, exactly. I am like Simon and so I will protect you. I said, assuring her.

Lana felt calm and then she could sleep so I left her and returned to my room.

The next day afternoon after classes, I received a call from Ian who seemed a bit tense.

I wondered what could be wrong, but before I could ask him, he informed me that he wanted us to meet up and discuss.

He asked me where we could meet up and talk and I thought about we spending some quality time together but thought about Lana. She could interupt us as she did the last time.

So an idea came to mind that I would take her to her Aunt Clara for the holiday.

Evening came and I got to the apartment and set everywhere up for our meeting.

Asking myself what exactly he wanted to discuss with me…

CHAPTER 47 I Just Want to Be With You

    IAN'S POV

I tried to find the right words to say, but my tongue felt tied. Finally, I managed to say, Hi, Leah. Thank you for inviting me over.

She smiled, and I felt my heart skip a beat. Of course, Ian. Come in, please. she said, stepping aside to let me in.

I entered her house, and I was immediately struck by how cozy it felt. It was decorated in warm, earthy tones, and it smelled of cinnamon and apple pie. I felt immediately at ease.

Can I get you something to drink? Leah asked, leading me to the living room. Tea? Coffee? Water?

Water would be great, thanks. I said, taking a seat on the couch.

Leah disappeared into the kitchen and returned a few minutes later with two glasses of water. She handed me one and sat down beside me.

I took a sip of the water and then looked at her, unsure of how to start the conversation.

I'm guessing you wanted to talk about what happened today. Leah said, breaking the silence.

Yeah, but where is Lana? I asked, looking around for Leah's daughter.

Oh! She is with her aunt Clara for the holiday so she won't be home tonight. she said.

Oh, that's good. I guess that gives us some privacy to talk. I said, feeling a bit relieved.

So, what did you want to talk about? Leah asked, looking at me expectantly.

I took a deep breath and tried to find the right words. I wanted to talk about Louisa. I said, feeling my heart start to race.

Leah's eyes widened, and she sat up a bit straighter. Okay… who is Louisa?she asked, her voice steady.

Louisa is the daughter of Alpha Dean of the Rex pack. I said, watching Leah's expression carefully.

I'm not sure I understand. What does Louisa have to do with you? she asked, furrowing her brow.

She and I… we were set up on a blind date today. My father wants me to marry Louisa so she can become the Luna of my pack. I said, my voice trembling slightly.

Leah's eyes widened in shock. You went on a date with someone else? she asked, her voice shaking slightly.

I know, and I'm so sorry. I didn't want to go on the date, but I felt like I had no choice. My father has been pushing me to marry Louisa for days now. I just didn't know how to say no. I said, feeling guilty and ashamed.

I can't believe this. How could you go on a date with someone else, especially when you know that I have feelings for you and that we are mated to each other? Leah asked, her voice starting to rise in volume.

"I know, and I'm so sorry.

I could see that Leah was getting upset, and I knew that I needed to try to calm her down. Please, let me explain. I said, reaching out to take her hand.

Go on. she said, her voice still shaking.

"My father has been trying to set me up with Louisa for days now. He wants me to marry her because he thinks that it will be good for the pack.

But I have never felt anything for her. I have only ever had feelings for you." I said, looking into Leah's eyes.

I tried to tell my father that I wasn't interested in Louisa, but he wouldn't listen to me.

He just kept telling me that it was the best thing for the pack. But I couldn't go against him, he is my Alpha. I said, my voice cracking slightly.

I know that it must have been difficult for you, but you should have been honest with me about what was going on. I don't like the idea of you going on a date with someone else, even if it was just because of your father. Leah said, tears welling up in her eyes.

I could see that Leah was upset, and I wanted to make things right. You're right. I should have been honest with you. I'm sorry. I never meant to hurt you. You are the only one I want to be with. I said, my voice full of sincerity.

Do you really mean that? she asked, her voice wavering.

Yes, I mean it with all my heart. You are the one I want to be with, no one else. I said, reaching out to take her hand again.

I could see that my words were starting to get through to her. Her shoulders relaxed a bit, and her expression softened.

I'm still upset that you went on a date with Louisa, but I appreciate your honesty. she said, her voice starting to return to normal.

I understand, and I completely understand why you're upset. I hope that you can forgive me. I said, giving her a pleading look.

"I'm not sure if I can forgive you right away, but I am willing to try.

"Thank you, that means a lot to me. I know I have to earn your trust back, and I'm willing to do
