Dedication
This book is dedicated to a lady who inspired me to
love myself" because of her exhilaration and enthusiasm about herself. Watched her during an interview and somehow, I felt her message.
Several days and weeks passed as I watched that interview. I began to feel such warmth within myself about me. That feeling is still with me today.
Thank you, Magdalene St. Michaels for inspiring me to love myself!"

Chapter 1
The Pandemic
During the latter part of December 2019, on a Friday, I decided to go to the Dollar General store about a mile from where I lived, to buy my favorite candy, at that time, Tootsie Pops. The weather was not particularly cold, and I was bored and felt I had to get out of the house.
I arrived at the store and got my candy and a few other items, being careful not to get too much since I was walking. I approached the line to pay for my items and was next in line for the cashier. While I was waiting, a worker a few inches from me coughed, and I thought to myself, she has a nasty cold. I got to the cashier, paid for my items, and returned home. Before I arrived at the co-op where I lived, a neighbor stopped me, who wanted to know why I was carrying bags. I told the neighbor that I had gone to Dollar General because I needed fresh air and just to get out of the house for a bit.
I proceeded to my apartment and went inside for the remainder of the day.
The next day (Saturday), I woke up, had a shower, and dressed, but I did not feel as usual when I got out of bed in the mornings.
