Foreword
It is my great privilege to write a foreword to exalt the true value of Medical Intimacy.
This book is a quintessential guide for everyone who has ever wondered how healing happens or has a desire to empower and encourage others or themselves in what is possible in the realm of healing. MY greatest intention is to inspire YOU to not only study this book for every nugget and nuance you might glean, but also to share it far and wide.
At this tumultuous time in our world, more than ever, we seek touchstones to know it is possible to experience hope, wonder, and inspiration. Medical Intimacy offers an opportunity to explore the essential elements for mastery in renewing balance in living systems through conscious engagement with inner life experiences and Healing Presence. This is not a conceptual exploration. Medical Intimacy is a journey into living stories that engage every aspect of you and these stories will inspire you and restore hope!
The insights by Dr. Coram and the individual experiences shared within these pages express nuances of perception available only when we access the multiple intelligences of our body, heart, mind, and soul in alignment with a Greater Power. The experience of union between Divine Awareness combined with the physical, mental, and emotional manifestation of health, wholeness, and healing is beautifully documented here in ways that will take you deeper into self-awareness.
It is an honor to acknowledge the clarity of Dr. Charles Coram in how he communicates creating an environment for healing and the demonstrations that have been hallmark of his work. Dr. Coram invites a fertile receptivity where well-being and return to wholeness emerges according to the natural laws of the universe. He does this through his innate awareness, willingness to listen deeply to internal wisdom, loving acceptance, and attention to the body knowledge of his clients. In this loving field of Presence, or as today’s scientists might describe, in this quantum field of pure potential, there is access to freedom from suffering, pain, and fear.
The powerful, life-affirming testimonies within Medical Intimacy acknowledge the full-spectrum freedom that is experienced by Dr. Coram’s patients. These clients achieve the results of a transformed life at every level-not just physical, but also a mental, emotional, and spiritual freedom that creates happy, fulfilled and expanded living. This is hugely significant in our world that hungers to be free from the clutches of daily and life-long suffering. Here the clients and all who would follow this pathway find an effective holistic whole-Being approach to healing and wellness that leads them from a life of fear-avoidance to fuller self-expression, clarity, and ease in living.
The moment I met Dr. Charles Coram, I had an instant recognition of another healing presence, a high vibration, consciously awake and aware soul here to transform the world. My mother experienced relief from excruciating pain that no one else had been able to relieve through countless surgeries, therapies and medications. She also found an inner peace that had been eluding her throughout her entire life.
Dr. Coram is also a highly respected colleague of my brother, who at that time was a neurologist for the area. My own experience was a deep inner harmony and unraveling of tensions. I felt such movement within me through our exchange that I wrote to acknowledge my gratitude for the experiences that blessed me on all levels of my being. Dr. Coram helps his patients see that they are not broken
but a beautiful expression of the perfect pattern of life that is revealed as they open to their Essence.
Dr. Charles Coram’s seminal book is important to all in the world. Through the study of this book, you too will gain the wisdom to experience the true pattern of wholeness and how to access it through Dr. Coram’s sensitive, informative, and inspired writing.
As you engage your own journey through the pages of Medical Intimacy, may you access this dynamic consciousness within yourself and also be inspired to support others in their own empowerment and healing.

Introduction
For years, both colleagues and patients have asked me to write a book about my unique approach to healing. The big question is, with the field of medicine so vast these days, why do patients find my work unique?
To start with, the whole focus of my healing practice has been to help patients who are seeking to heal themselves—to support my patients to step beyond their habitual limitations—and begin to see their incurable
conditions as curable. Since I have been trained traditionally as both a nurse and a chiropractor, I was surprised when my desire to help patients uncover the root cause of their disease and actually heal themselves led me into the realm of energetic healing. The term energetic healing may seem unfamiliar to many of us, but it’s just a modern name for a very old process—the process of connecting with the true self within.
How did I first discover that this simple process can lead to radical shifts in healing? In my own life, one significant memory—of connecting with my true self—stands out from all the others. An innocent impulse, I want to go to Europe after graduation,
led me into a whole new world. I don’t know where that impulse came from. When I was still in high school, my family suddenly moved from a small town in Iowa to the metropolis of Galveston, Texas. In Iowa, my music teacher had praised and nurtured my talent for music. That meant a lot to a kid who came from a family that was poor not only financially—but poor in feeding my spirit. Maybe I gained enough confidence from my music teacher in Iowa to foster a thought that no member of my family had ever considered possible before. Maybe just stepping outside of all the small, little movements in life (like when we moved to Galveston) started me thinking a little bigger. I remember thinking, This is really nice just to up and go somewhere new—this is something I can do. So in that moment I decided, When I graduate. I want to go to Europe.
The next thing I remember is walking into a travel agency one Saturday afternoon and saying, I’m planning a trip to Europe, and I need some information.
I had no plans, no ideas, and no thoughts in mind, nothing. I just started discussing the idea with the agent, and it became more and more possible as we talked. The agent and I finished up my travel plans, and that was the first experience in my life where I was stepping into something bigger than I’d ever been in before.
What I notice, when I look back on this experience, is how subtle these signposts are in our lives. These subtle signposts, these things that just show up, mark the point in time when we decide to step into a new experience that is completely foreign to us—or we decide not to—and that decision is life altering.
I look for these signposts when I am working with patients. I see these signposts as points of leverage—as gaps in the continuity of our habit-driven lives
