Epilogue
This book is dedicated to two of my best friends. My friend Roger, who has been a great prayer warrior when I needed it and my comedy hour that kept me laughing. He was a great constant, as I battled cancer. My friend Celeste, and Mama Linda who have always just been my family. I love you both! My children have loved them as much as they love me. The sweetest part of my life, and I am so blessed, Abigail Rose, Remi Jane and Waverly Gray, Raylee Grace and Ryan. Sometimes I just sit and pray about the women and men you will become. God has great things for all five of you! I love you from the deepest part of my heart!!!!
Righteous lips are the delight of kings; and they love him that speaketh right.

Chapter 1
J
ason was helping the construction
crew Build his new office, off of South York Street, right on the outside of town. Amelia drove up to the building site and got out of her car. She smiled, knowing this would be their livelihood. She took a basket inside to the crew and handed out sandwiches. Jason leaned down and kissed her. Thank you doll, Jason told her. The office was just about finished, so they were working out back. They were putting in the catch pen and large animal quarters. Jason had had the concrete crew put in drives on both sides of the building so that there would be plenty of parking and no one would ever get blocked in. He wanted to make sure that any emergency could get into the office without being blocked.
Jason and Amelia were holding interviews for three other veterinarians because Jason wanted to own his practice but he did not want to work 100% of the time he wanted to marry and start his family. He felt like Amelia felt the same way, but dating is one thing. He wanted her to be very sure and want the same things. Jason asked her if she would like to dress up and go out to supper that night and she agreed. Well, Jason, if we are going to dress up and go out, I need to go home and get ready. Jason walked her to her car and told her bye. Amelia could not quit smiling and pulled out of the parking lot. One of the workers on the construction crew had been showing Amelia a lot of attention and Jason did not like it. This was one of the reasons that Jason has started working with the crew. Jason talked to Steven who was the owner of the construction company. Steven felt that Jason was just being jealous, so he just wasn’t going to say anything. Jason decided that he would keep an eye on this guy as long as they were still working. This guy watched every step Amelia or Jason made. Steven began noticing a few things here and there but still felt Jason was overreacting. Stephen would keep an eye on this guy.
Jason hurried home to get ready and opened the safe in his closet to take out what he needed. He drove to Shelby and Aiden’s house to pick up Amelia. Shelby had helped Amelia get ready. Jason thought Amelia looked beautiful. He handed her the roses that he stopped to pick up for her. Amelia accepted the roses gracefully. Jason and Amelia said their goodbyes and began their drive to Tulsa. Jason held Amelia’s hand all the way to the restaurant. Jason opened her door, and they walked into the restaurant with Jason’s arm around her waist. The restaurant owner was a friend of Jason’s from college. He was very excited to know that Jason was dining with them tonight. Terry set them in a secluded booth so that they could enjoy their time together. Jason and Amelia enjoyed their conversation. Jason knew if he did not go ahead with what he planned, he was worried that he would back out. Jason was talking to Amelia and asked her what she wanted between them? Jason dropped down on one knee and opened the box that was in his coat. Amelia could not speak. Jason asked her if she meant yes? Amelia had tears in her eyes and all she could do was shake her head yes. She could finally speak. Jason, I love you so much. This is what I have wanted for a very long time. Jason leaned down and kissed her soundly.
On their return trip home, Jason wanted to ride by the construction site on Yale, Jason could see lights inside the building. He and Amelia pulled over into a vacant lot where the weeds could disguise his car. He called Kyle the sheriff and told him where they were and what they were seeing. He also called Aiden and asked him to bring a few pistols with him. Jason explained to Aiden that he needed to cut his lights off prior to turning on to Yale. It only took Aiden a few minutes to get there he pulled off right beside Jason’s car. Shelby got into the car with Amelia and they locked themselves in. There was no way she was staying home and not being there for Jason and Amelia.
Jason and Aiden snuck up to the building without waiting on Kyle. Each one Took different routes around the building stopping to look in each window to see who was in the building. Aiden got around to the new air system that had been newly put in and saw that the copper had been stripped from the unit. He continued on until he saw some of the guys from the construction crew. Aiden knew that Jason could not see what he was seeing. Aiden sent a text to Jason about what he saw. Finally, he heard Kyle’s truck coming down the road, and he was glad that he had turned his lights off. He sent Kyle a very quick text telling him to come to the left side of the building. Kyle noticed the same thing that Aiden saw. since there were now three of them, they would go on in and catch the thieves. Since Kyle was the sheriff, he went in first. Aiden took cover but he could see Kyle in case he was needed. Kyle wanted Jason to come on In and say something to the crew to startle them. Aiden and Kyle had taken cover but could see the entire perimeter. When Jason spoke his deep voice reverberated off as the walls. What are y’all doing here? The guys spun around like children’s tops. They begin picking up tools thinking that Jason was the only one there with them. One guy threw hammers at Jason and the second guy had a nail gun. He had begun shooting nails at Jason, one nicked his leg but was only a flesh wound. Kyle and Aiden came around Jason pointing guns at the two men. Kyle locked the two thieves up in handcuffs behind them and placed them in his Patrol vehicle. Kyle looked At Aiden and Jason and just started laughing. Aiden and Jason at this point we’re also laughing uncontrollably. Aidan finally opened his mouth to speak, asking Kyle why are you laughing at us? Kyle said, this reminds me of our years in high school. Jason said you know Kyle, this is a lot like you stealing Mr. Tally’s bulldozer. I did not steal it, I borrowed it, and Mr. Talley forgave me. Kyle told them it was time for him to go. Aiden and Jason started laughing all over again.
Aiden took Shelby by the hand and they were about to get in their vehicle. Shelby looked at Amelia, do you have something to tell Aiden and I? Yes, I should tell you that I will not be home tonight. Oh, no, girl you cough up about that bling that is on your hand. Amelia laughed. Jason kissed her hand. Aiden and Shelby, Jason and I are engaged. It happened tonight at supper. Aiden chimed in, well at least he wasn’t proposing while the bad guys were stealing him blind.
