About this ebook
Living in an age before computers, Leroy was footloose and fancy-free. He hid behind the pulpit, however in real time, he was a monster to his wife and a lover to the world. This short story hopefully captivates the black soul of a Bible-preaching man. Don't be a Leroy.

Leroy - Lilly Buchanan
It was a beautiful Sunday in Laurlee, Florida. The doors were open to the church so that any passersby could hear the profound words booming from the Pastor’s mouth.
13-year-old Leroy sat in the front row of the church next to his mother Francis. He was the son of the only mechanic in town. His Father did not come to church. However, his mother was a regular at the Baptist church, every Sunday morning without fail for as long as Leroy had been alive. She made him come with her to every service. Leroy didn’t believe in God. He sat there obediently to please his mother. He learned early to sit still and would nod his head, pretending to agree with words he did not hear.
Leroy would bow his head in prayer, knowing full well Francis was watching to make sure his eyes were completely closed. Francis would beat him like a stranger if he made one misstep in public, so he was careful to do what was expected of him. She loved him and she wanted him to be a good person, so she was serious about church behavior. Ms. Francis believed if you are good you go to Heaven, if you are bad you go to hell, exactly like Reverend Marshall told the congregation every Sunday of Leroy’s life.
The church members loved Leroy. He was everyone’s darling, the perfect little gentleman. He had won all of their hearts at age four when he ran to the altar and extended his tiny hand to escort the Reverend’s wife safely down three stairs. The room filled with the sound of Aww.
It was the sweetest act of chivalry they had ever seen. All the ladies hugged him and showered his mother with praise for raising such a good son.
––––––––
You could already tell at his early age he would be a good-looking ladies’ man. He continued to hone his manners to impress the ladies by opening doors, and escorting ladies to and from their seats.
In return, Leroy loved how they praised his every move! The attention made him seek out opportunities to get all those hugs and praises. Leroy would rather have his head pressed up against those big breasts than 3 pieces of his mama’s chicken, and he loved his mama’s fried chicken.
His endearing ability to feign embarrassment at times added to how adorable everyone thought he was. The men always shook his hand, gave him a big hug, and called him Buddy or Pal.
One Sunday after services, Francis sent 13-year-old Leroy back into the church to get her favorite shawl that she had forgotten in the Sunday school room.
Leroy hurried into the room and saw Reverend Marshall passionately kissing Loretta Glass. This would not have been an issue except that Reverend Marshall was married to Betty Marshall, not Loretta Glass, who was a 16-year-old high school bombshell with huge breasts and a behind like a barrel. The Reverend’s hands were roaming all over her butt, squeezing it hard as he was kissing her. Leroy stopped quickly before being seen and stepped out of the room. He bit his lip, unsure of what to do. He felt embarrassed and guilty at the same time only not sure why. His
