Chapter 1: A Whisper of Heather
The mist clung to the moor like a lover's embrace, shrouding the rolling hills in a soft, ethereal veil. Dew-kissed heather carpeted the earth in shades of lavender and amethyst, a testament to the untouched beauty of rural Scotland. It was a place where time seemed to stand still, where the ancient spirits of the land whispered their secrets to those who cared to listen.
In the heart of this enchanting landscape stood a grand, ivy-covered manor known as Glarissven. It had weathered centuries of storms, its stone walls echoing with tales of love and loss. Sir William Sinclair, a rugged gentleman of noble birth, called Glarissven home. He was a man of few words but many passions, his heart fiercely loyal to the land and his people.
One cool September morning, as the sun cast a golden glow upon the hills, Sir William strolled through the gardens of Glarissven. His tall, broad-shouldered figure was silhouetted against the backdrop of a brilliant sunrise.
