Mirta Dubischar Panagiotopoulos is an Argentinian visual artist who has lived in Paris since 1973. In 1986, dazzled by a friend's description, she discovered the small port of Parga in Greece. This collection of poems reflects her attachment to the region of Epirus, and in particular Parga, where she now lives part of the year.

    Ionian Odes is a poetic journey inspired by nature's resplendent beauty and an atmosphere where mythology radiates as a wondrous treasure. The sea, Greece's storied past, both ancient and modern, its mythos, traditions, and the splendor of its landscapes, all serve as wellsprings for my creativity and dreams.

    This collection of verses forms an integral part of my endeavor to nurture artistic and cultural bridges connecting France and Greece. It stands as an extension of the Paris-Parga Contemporary Art initiative, which I've been fostering since 2015. This initiative encompasses the annual exhibitions I've orchestrated alongside fellow French and Epirotic painters within the fortress of Parga, an effort
