Chapter 1

Anjali lives next to a neighbor.

She, he seems to never favor.

A shout out to his name in the mornings and it's a wave he always seems to only give her.

Oh how grumpy he is for a next door neighbor.

Complaints and does things that he knows will irritate her.

When no one is around, he sneaks in the back and all about,

Hiding a little something in the dirt ground. In his backyard, a spot where plants never sprout.

Oh how his loud whispers and rude remarks send even strangers up a wall.

To distract the world and not suffer his downfall.

For there is a secret deeply hidden behind that ax,

And the dirt he left fresh in his front lawn, like tracks.

If Anjali decides to meddle, he will yell and argue until his voice cracks.

Early in the morning.....

Anjali was mumbling her complaints about Mr. Sawyer like she always does. How he left his hose on by their dividing wall and its socking the wall again. The last time he cracked the wall and refused to mend it. Now the water is passing through her yard and it frustrates her that he doesn't listen.

Alec was passing by the living room to the kitchen. When he saw Anjali arguing to herself, she paused. Anjali let out a hard sneeze and went flying back onto her couch. Alec rushed to the couch after seeing it was tipping over and pushed it back up with Anjali on it. Making the couch balance and stand on its own again.

''What the hell just happened?'' Anjali said in shock.

''Your frustration is making your powers go out of control. I told you to stay away from negative emotions but you're not listening.'' Alec said and she moaned.

Alec quickly felt Anjali's arm to check her body temperature and she was steaming hot.

''You have to learn to stay calm or show no emotion or else you'll end up killing the neighbor next door.'' Alec told her.

''Can I?'' Anjali asked, looking desperate.

''Hell no. I thought you were better than that.'' Alec said looking her in the eyes and then walked straight to the kitchen.

''You better not be cooking grubs in my kitchen!'' Anjali shouted.

''Eating!''Alec shouted back with his mouth full and then he swallowed.

''I just got a call from the police station, there is a missing person case at the nuts festival. So hurry we have to go now.''

One hour later......

At the police station, a couple was talking and discussing what had happened to Alec and his team. Unfortunately they could not talk well because the nuts festival is still going on outside. All the floats and loud music will take time to pass the whole street to another. Until then they had to
