Chapter 1:  No One Will Come Between Us

After I spend yet a few more days in bed because of extreme morning sickness and constant migraines, the good doctor manages to find an herbal medicine that stops the symptoms.  Or shall I say at least something that helps to alleviate them.  In the meantime, while I was sleeping Alexander put a guard on me so he could interrogate everyone who had been in contact with my food. 

He did eventually find out that Peter had Cassie slip the poison in at the last minute so it would not be detected until it was too late.  However, they had not counted on my suped up immune system.  After all, no one could have known that I was pregnant with Alexander’s babies.  Not even me.

It was their one fatal flaw.  Once he had dealt with Peter, he seemed to ease up on the at my side at all times rules. for a few hours even though he had been at my beck and call whenever I was awake.  I guess this is why I became irritated and picked a fight in the first place.

Now what? Alexander asks as he stares down at me angrily with seriousness in his eyes.

I just thought that because you figured out who poisoned me, I wouldn’t have to be glued to your side anymore.  After all, it’s not like we are married or anything. I reply sarcastically while rolling my eyes and frowning with my hands on my hips.

I don’t like counting on anyone and all this bodyguard stuff is starting to really put a crimp in my style.  As a matter of fact, if this keeps up, I might as well start acting like his good little wifey.  In all honesty, I am not too sure I am ready to go down that road just yet.  I mean I love him, but I am an independent woman who needs her space.

Really?  Am I property? I spit out as the tears flow down my cheeks in anger.

You are mine.  You are my Luna and will be happy wherever I fucking want you. He yells as he thrusts his fist into the wall.

Seeing this, I stop suddenly and stand still.  I don’t say another word because I notice that his fangs are showing, and he is turning.  When he glares at me with those gorgeous primal eyes, I feel suddenly scared. 

Would he hurt me after all we have been through together? I ask myself as I carefully place one foot behind the other and back myself up to the wall. 

My shoulder hits the paneling, so I make a small squeak and never once take my eyes off his.  I am too afraid of what he will do in his angered state to let my guard down now.  A moment later, he is on me with his claws out as he shreds my dark red, short sleeve t-shirt.

No. I cry out as I realize that I should have never badgered him so.
