Dedication
To the best friend I’ve ever had in my entire adult life. To the one whose strength, love, and devotion have given me the ability to love my wife as Christ loves the church. To the one that never tires of my humanity nor ever gives me reasons to doubt. To the one who excites my heart and never lets me quit. I dedicate this first book to the best girl ever, my girlfriend, wife, and life-long partner. Sharon Mundy Williams, I love you.
I also dedicate this book to the best family ever. You guys have been my cheerleaders and motivators, without whom I may have never earned my doctoral degree. You are my greatest reason for pride in this earth. You’ve grown to be respectable, God-loving, Spirit-filled believers in the kingdom of God. I have no greater accomplishment. Thank you for your love and support.
Acknowledgment
I give all credit, glory, and praise to God for giving me what I call the gift of thought. I know that I’m not smart enough to think of and express the thoughts and truths presented in this book. I can claim no credit for what is captured. The Lord Jesus has given me the unction, skill, and fluency of thought to be able to express that which will edify, motivate, and empower every reader to ascend to higher heights of faith. May the miracle-working power of God flow through your minds and mouths. Through this writing, I invite you to enjoy new realms of possibilities that shall be open to you should you embrace the truths God has given me. I send you forward to have dominion with this declaration of limitless possibilities.
May (you) be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.
Ephesians 3:18–21 (KJV)
Foreword
By Bishop Hezekiah X. Walker
As a long-time leader of men, follower of Christ, and practician of faith, Faith Cometh… The Untold Secrets of Faith is a book that particularly resonates with me. It offers readers a refreshing and practical approach to maintaining and experiencing faith in God. This message is not full of shallow platitudes or idealistic views; instead, it contains profound truths that will revolutionize your walk with Christ. Dr. Rodney Williams echoes much of the same that Jesus told His disciples, …have faith in God.
By exploring what faith truly is and learning how it can be applied in our everyday lives, we can walk in the same atmosphere of devotion as Jesus. Through impartation and discipline, we, too, can experience the life changes that come from having an unwavering faith in God. Dr. Williams provides a solid foundation for his teaching and encourages readers to deepen their understanding of the Word of God, which in turn will strengthen their faith.
Throughout this book, Dr. Williams elaborates on many of his own life stories and personal experiences from his walk with God, giving readers a relatable and authentic perspective on the power of faith. He shares how faith has transformed his life and the lives of those around him, inspiring readers to believe that they, too, can experience the same level of transformation. Faith Cometh… The Untold Secrets of Faith is a valuable resource for anyone seeking to deepen their faith in God. The author’s passion for sharing the Word of God is evident in every aspect of this teaching, and I believe it will inspire and encourage readers to walk in the same essence of faith that Jesus did. In addition to sharing personal stories, Dr. Williams draws from biblical examples of faith that portray the challenges of walking in faith despite the circumstances. Many of these examples remind readers that faith is not just a theoretical concept but something that must be tangible in your walk with Christ.
Upon reading this book, you will be instilled with knowledge of the practice of faith. Through this, you will grow closer to God and fulfill all that He has for you on earth and in heaven. I urge you to turn towards faith, the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.
FAITH COMETH…
The untold secrets of faith!
Introduction
To be kind to your time and to satisfy your insatiable desire to see the produce of having faith in God, this teaching will not be filled with platitudes and lofty concepts. We are going to get straight to the truth about faith so that your experience in Jesus will explode from this point forward. I give you the same simple direction that Jesus gave to His disciples, …have faith in God.
(Young’s Literal Translation: …have the faith of God
). What exactly is this phrase saying? Jesus is revealing to His disciples that they can and should walk in (by impartation and revelation) the same essence of faith that He (God in Christ) did. I want you to know that as I offer many scripture verses throughout this teaching, unless otherwise specified, they will all come from the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible.
So, why am I writing this teaching? What gives me the right to pen these words? Experience! Experience! Experience! Over the past thirty-five years of walking with God and seeing and experiencing the most mind-blowing miracles, I’m obligated to share this small contribution to enhance the faith experience of believers everywhere. To make a long story short, here are some of the many experiences that came because of my faith, along with the faith of others who were spiritually connected to me. Many of these experiences, to this day, continue to fuel my faith. Some of the date ranges are approximate, as my memory is not as crystal clear as I would like for it to be.

• 1988–1992: Our military assignment was suddenly changed from Hawaii to Germany. For obvious reasons, I fought that change, not knowing God was orchestrating His plan for our lives (wife and family). Arriving in Europe, my assignment was again changed from Berlin to Stuttgart. Again, God was at work. Long story short, my enthusiasm for soul-winning and zeal for the Lord was noticed by local and national church leaders. I was selected and appointed to pastor a work in Germany. Even though I had never preached a gospel message in my life, nor had I accepted the call to ministry. As I like to say, I was just an ordinary brother, loving the Lord and doing the best I could. These leaders, however, saw levels of grace and abilities in me that I had not recognized myself. The next two and a half years in Germany were extraordinary. The divine manifestations were surprising to my wife, congregants, and me. Angels showed up while I stood to preach. At one point, at the beginning of my pastoral ministry, God knew that I had no idea how to do what I was assigned to do. So, He set angels on my left and on my right, which told me what to say. As I recall, one said, Say this
(certain words to preach), and the other followed with Say this
(additional words and scripture to preach). The glory of the Lord would fall in the house in such a manner that many were filled with the Holy Ghost, and we baptized countless people, despite my being as green as string beans. We baptized people on the outside of the military chapel (both in the German summers and winters), which was located steps away from family living quarters. Many demons came out with loud screaming at the operation of our spiritual ministry. Spiritual gifts were in abundant supply. The results of God’s doings were marvelous. Our faith did not fail.
• 1997: Sis Patricia King (a new member at the time) came to Bible study with a lump in her breast. We prayed, laying hands on her, and subsequently taught on faith. After the lesson, I told her to go check her breast with another sister accompanying her. Minutes later, they came back into the sanctuary rejoicing. The lump was gone! I gave her instructions to return to the doctor to be cleared.
• 1997: Our first child was misdiagnosed at a military health facility while we lived in Germany. She had rheumatic fever but was misdiagnosed as having the streptococcal virus. As a result, her condition worsened. My wife and I pursued more medical testing at Walter Reed Hospital in Maryland. Subsequently, she was correctly diagnosed as having Korea, a rare disorder. At the time, our daughter was a kindergartener. Her writing skills degraded to the point that she could not legibly write her name. She could no longer walk in a straight line. The doctors stated that the misdiagnosis of rheumatic fever had allowed too much time with a sustained fever. This damaged her heart. Doctors’ instructions were that we were to use syringes and vails of medication they gave us to give her injections that she would have to continue herself for the rest of her life. We took this bag of medical supplies and prayed for God’s will and
