A Guide to Balance, Fulfillment, and Happiness: For Yourself and a Healthy Long-Term Relationship

About this ebook
He soon realized his book should be written towards all children, as some lacked an adult presence to constructively guide them. Flairs soon changed the title to "For Our Sons and Daughters (A Guide to Go Further Faster)." He wrote this book in his free time between his career and doing music, but only when he had an ample amount of time and space to focus on the subject. He wanted to be diligent with the creation and organization of the book because the topics are extremely fragile, and the people he wanted to help with the book are possibly just as fragile. As he continued constructing the book and its outline, he changed the structure of the book and divided it into two separate sections: one for the betterment of oneself and one for the betterment of an intimate relationship. After changing the structure of the book, he changed the title to "For Our Sons and Daughters: A Guide to Balance, Fulfillment, and Happiness for Yourself and a Healthy Long-Term Relationship." As the years passed during his off-and-on contribution to the book, his interactions with others caused him to realize how many adults might need these solutions and guidance as well. After careful consideration, he decided to leave out the "For Our Sons and Daughters" part of the title. He didn't want to ignore or push away adults who might need the solutions and guidance as well. He kept the latter part of the title, and its final title became "A Guide towards Balance, Fulfillment, and Happiness: For Yourself and a Healthy Long-Term Relationship."

They also aren’t the only possible examples and scenarios. The description of the words used throughout this book can be based on an individual’s perspective, but the definitions of the words used are always the same. This book is dedicated to my family, including my children, godchildren, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, uncles and aunts, brothers and sisters, nephews and nieces, cousins, and friends, all of whom have helped and inspired me throughout life—as well as strangers who have done the same.
Preface
This is a self-help book. It gives solutions to problems many might face while trying to have balance, fulfillment, and happiness as individuals or in healthy, long-term relationship. It mentions ways I obtained balance, fulfillment, and happiness and continue to have as well as ways that can work for you.
When I started this book, my main intentions were to help my children navigate through some of the obstacles that they may face as they grow into and be adults, if I am not able to help them at the time. I wanted to help them avoid making the mistakes I and so many others made that unnecessarily prolonged our path to various successes and in some cases prevented our successes; I wanted to help them go further faster with solutions that I learned from the experience of problems I faced.
My intentions were to help them avoid going through what I went through, but still get as far as I have come or further in a shorter amount of time and in a less harmful way. I learned from my actions, but I wanted to help them avoid that by learning from my words. The guidance I give in this book is from the things my family has instilled in me as a younger child, my personal experience in different parts and sides of the equations, the things I have learned from others’ experiences verbally and visually, and the guidance I simply received from God.
You might disagree with me on the topic of God, but you might agree with me on one or more of the multiple topics I address in this book. I emphatically give praises and glory to God, try to pray daily, and give God thanks throughout the day. I have my perspective and description of God, and have experienced the intervening impact God has had on my life; however, this book is about using the abilities we have as individuals to contribute to balance, fulfillment, and happiness for ourselves and a healthy, long-term relationship.
Before deciding to write this book, there were times I’d wake up with, or figure out through the day, solutions or ways to prevent problems that I or someone I knew was going through, answers to questions either of us had, or ways to overcome or avoid obstacles either of us was facing. No human gave me that guidance, and that’s one reason I give credit to a higher power for solutions and guidance in this book. Eventually I started posting those things on the internet for others who might be going through something similar.
Over time I realized I could write a book and started deleting the posts as I pasted them to my device. At the time, creating a book was a great idea for two reasons: it was a way I could leave advice for my children if I am not able to help them at the time for any reason, and it would increase the protection from plagiarism because a lot of that was happening on the internet at the time. However, once I started getting the content together for a book, I realized how much further I had to go for a complete book.
Once I started creating the book, I started to think of others who might benefit from these solutions and guidance. I instantly realized not only numerous children but also many adults could benefit from it. The primary objective of this book is to contribute to others going further faster while being balanced, fulfilled, and happy as individuals and together while building a healthy, long-term relationship.
The guidance in this book is only a step to a larger percentage of us being balanced, happy, and fulfilled individually and together in healthy long-term relationships. I dedicated my free time, outside of my career and music, to contribute to this book. I only worked on it when I had substantial time and space available.
I wanted to be diligent with the creation and organization of the book because I considered the topics extremely fragile and the people I wanted to help with the book possibly just as fragile. Some topics within the book are more sensitive than others and it is crucial to convey the messages accurately to avoid misinterpretation. Furthermore, some of the solutions or guidance can be easier to do or follow than others.
During the process of completing the book, there were times the book would help me with things I was going through. I’d forget what I had written until going through the book for organizing, rearranging, etc., and certain parts would instantly give me solutions or guidance for a better outcome. That’s another reason why I give credit to God for solutions and guidance in this book.
As I penned this book, I went through a variety of titles; the title changed as the content grew and the structure became more developed. One of its original titles was A Guide to Go Further Faster.
Ultimately, I settled on the final title, A Guide to Balance, Fulfillment, and Happiness (For Yourself and a Healthy Long-Term Relationship),
which captures the true nature of the book. The section pertaining to self is structured around one’s self as an individual amongst others. The section about relationship is structured towards an intimate relationship, but there are parts of it that can be suitable for any type of relationship.
