The Ancients - John Pirillo
Mission Complete
The hummingbirds were sipping at the fine nectar of the strawberry blossoms as Madeline Flowers stooped to watch. It had taken many months of patience, but she had finally won their confidence by making sure they saw her planting the special fruit patches and never taking anything out, leaving it all for them and their sweet families.
Carl, come see this!
She called softly.
Carl leaned over her shoulder, smiling. They love you.
I love them.
A hummingbird flew towards her. Very slowly she lifted a forefinger and it landed there. She smiled. She could swear it smiled back at her.
You’re going to miss them.
I know.
The hummingbird nodded its head, as if in agreement, and then shot off, followed by the others. But this time they did not go towards their nest, but elsewhere, accelerating as they flit away as fast as their tiny wings could carry them.
She stood up.
I don’t want to go now.
She glanced towards the West where the towering buildings threatened to pierce the bright white clouds drifting overhead. The works of man were so incredible she thought for a moment. Powerful. Challenging the gods!
But today...she saw them begin to tremble, and then begin to tilt towards each other. She saw a huge tsunami of dust and debris exploding away from the tumbling buildings, heading her way.
She felt the presence of his hand on her right shoulder. Madeline, be brave.
I am brave. And now that you’re here, I feel peace. We tried so hard to save them.
I know. But it’s time to leave. It’s not your time to leave this world yet.
She sighed. There’s so much of beauty in the upper world."
Yes. There was,
Carl replied.
The ground shook under her feet.
One by one the patches of fresh strawberries she had planted began to sink and then the entire plot of them sank out of sight.
I love you, Carl.
I know.
The ground thrust upwards and exploded, magma bright and hot as the sun consuming everything about her, and the lovely home behind her.
She stood over the vast desert of spreading destruction, watching it spread beneath her feet.
I’m ready now.
I know you are.
She turned and looked into the bright face smiling at her.
The air about her lit up as if an explosion of a nuclear bomb had gone off.
She and the man she loved were consumed in a light brighter than anything man had ever seen.
The Big One
It had begun.
United Nations
New York City
The United Nations General Assembly
Before it all began.
A very humble looking man waited calmly at the side of the podium. The Secretary was preparing the audience for him.
His hair was an off black and white color, his eyes hazel, but his fingers were longer than most. But there were calluses on them, which didn’t seem right for an artistic hand like that, but by the way he wore his clothing, simple as it was; a white suit, blue tie, white shirt and black shoes, he wasn’t exactly a movie star wannabe either.
So what was he?
The Ambassadors from Britain and the United States kept glancing at the man, giving him scowls. Russian Ambassador was smirking. Chinese Ambassador was picking his teeth after having eaten some fresh noodles.
The rest of the Ambassadors seemed bored for some reason, but remained courteous.
So far.
May I now introduce the Ambassador from...
The Secretary seemed a bit nervous at this point as if the next word was distasteful to him. ...Shamballa, Ambassador Carl Moran.
The Tibetan Ambassador, recently admitted by China as a way of getting the West off its back, rose and began clapping. He knew exactly who this man was and was happy he and those he represented were finally speaking up as they should have been long ago in his estimation.
The Dalai Lama had told him the night before to treat the man like God, because he was almost as powerful.
Surely no man is that powerful?
The Dalai Lama had taken his hands and pressed them. They hold the keys to our planet.
He didn’t understand what that meant at the time. Later he and the rest of the world would. But then it would be too late to change what happened this day.
Some of the other Ambassadors, Canada, France, Greenland and Switzerland rose to clap also, but the rest remained seated and did nothing, but stare at the man stepping to the podium.
Good evening!
He greeted the Ambassadors.
He said no more.
Everyone tensed, expecting some kind of harangue or diatribe from the man, but he just stood there smiling.
Finally, when the crowd became restless and some rose to leave, he spoke. I beg you to reconsider our proposal. We do not wish to use the Earthquake Engine. We do not hunger for the deaths of millions, but you leave us no other choice if you do not change.
The Russian Ambassador rose and shook a fist at him. We will lead the world again, but we cannot do that if we all work together as you propose.
The Canadian Ambassador rose. She turned to him. Mister Ambassador, what good will it do you to inherit a barren world...our forests are burning, our seas are polluted, our air and water...
You are nothing to us!
The Russian Ambassador hollered back at her. We may die; but we will die like men, not like cowards!
The Canadian Ambassador waited for the uproar caused by his words to dim, and then she smiled. And that is precisely why the world will die, Ambassador, because you are not a real man, but a Neanderthal in disguise.
The room broke into laughter.
She turned to Ambassador Moran. Canada will accept your offer.
The other Ambassadors, who had clapped before, rose as well and said the same.
Ambassador Moran stood there, still and patient, absorbing the horrid response of his fellow man. He smiled at her. "To you I say, forgive me, but
