Is the dangerous Dragon Order active again?
Or are the vampires behind the murder?
Will his sweetheart help him find the killer?
1.The beginning
She wakes up and feels his breath on her skin, then she gets out of her Lycan lover’s bed, he turns tiredly and looks at her.
Alexis stay yet!
he says, reaching for her hand.
"Lio, you know you can’t do that!
The sun will be up soon and then I would have to stay here," she answers and lets go of him.
What would be so bad about that?
he asks, stroking his dark hair. She is torn inside and answers him Everyone would know about us!
She puts her meter-long auburn hair together, he watches her do it, sits up and says I’m getting tired of this hide and seek game, let them know!
She sits down next to him and takes him in her arms Honey, that wouldn’t be good for either of us!
Sadly, he replies, Whatever you say!
I’m going to take a shower now!
Lio looks at his sweetheart excitedly Was that an invitation?
She laughs and waves off I’m afraid not, otherwise I won’t be able to get away at all!
He drops back into bed, rolls over tiredly, and sighs, Too bad!
She disappears into the bathroom, after a short while she comes out, gets dressed and sneaks out of the werewolves’ mansion.
The sun will rise soon and none of the other vampires must know where she was. Her union with a Lycan is unofficially forbidden and frowned upon. It would be a scandal, she would lose everything she has worked for for centuries, her position as a guard, her reputation and also all other comforts.
She sneaks away, he opens the window and she looks back again, then she disappears into the forest, he looks sadly after her.
Now she has crossed the forest and sees from afar the vampire castle, her home. There she lives together with the other bloodsuckers.
Cut off from humans and all the other species that still exist alongside them.
She enters a trail, opens a secret passage and is about to go in when someone comes out, it’s Henry, a palace guard.
He examines her from head to toe and then asks in an arrogant tone, Well, are we guards taking a pass again?
She rolls her eyes in annoyance and he babbles on "You know the curfew.
Now tell me where you were and what you were doing!"
Are you serious?
she asks
Yes of course, I write everything down in this book.
He points to a notebook bound in leather. She stares at it and asks, Can I see that?
All right!
He hands it to her and she rummages through it.
Henry, you know what I notice?
No Alexis, but you will surely let me know!
You didn’t even note when I left.
He looks at her in shock.
That’s right, but I can still add that ...!
She teases him By that I meant to imply that your notebook is incomplete and do you find that useful when anyone can sneak past you anyway?
He turns red in the face, she passes him grinning and enters the secret passage.
Henry runs after
