FUEL FOR MINISTRY

(HOW TO BUILD A SUCCESSFUL MINISTRY, PASTORAL AND CHURCH LEADERSHIP)

BOOK IN SERIES OF MINISTRY AND PASTORAL RESOURCE

If you are interested in fulfilling your calling as a minister, this book is for you. This is a book about the fuel that empowers us to fulfil our calling. This fuel is called the anointing. The anointing is the unseen force that makes what God has called us to do possible. Without it, one is bound to fail in the ministry.

God does not intend for anyone to fail in ministry. That is why when He calls somebody for an assignment, He empowers the person for performance. All through the Bible, God empowered those He worked with. His anointing is

that which authenticates one's calling. It is a proof of His presence with a person.

Jesus Christ, prior to His earthly ministry, was anointed by God (Acts 10:38). Jesus did not attempt ministry until He was anointed at the age of thirty (Luke 3:21-23). It was the anointing that caused Him to impact the world. The anointing has been and will always be the means of making things work in the ministry. The modus operandi has not changed. The anointing has no substitute. It is therefore crucial to delve into the Scriptures to see the operation of this invincible force called the anointing. This is what this book is about.

The book comprises ten chapters. The first chapter is a reminder that one cannot do the work of ministry without the anointing. It emphasises that it is the anointing that makes the difference. The anointing is defined in the second chapter. It gives the reader a concise explanation of what it means to be anointed.

The third chapter exposes the reader to the operation of the anointing in the Old Testament. The fourth chapter takes a cursory look at manifestations of the anointing in the New Testament with emphasis on the ministry of Christ. In chapter five, the reader is reminded that the reason for the anointing is to do the works of Jesus. It pinpoints some specific works of Jesus that we are expected to do when we are anointed.

Chapter six summarises the operation of the anointing in the early church and gives us the assurance that we too can be anointed to do exploits in our time. The seventh chapter places in the hands of the reader keys that trigger the anointing. It reiterates the fact that the anointing comes with a price and only those who are willing to pay the price will access it. Chapter eight brings to the fore how important it is to walk in fresh anointing. It is a reminder that the fresher your anointing, the more efficient you will be. It also enlightens the reader to know what to do to enjoy fresh anointing.

In chapter nine, we are warned about the danger of stepping into an office God has not called us. It admonishes us to identify our calling and stay in it.

The final chapter draws our attention to the fact that the anointing can be lost, and therefore we must do whatever it takes to maintain it. Even though the anointing is needed in all facets of life, in this book, emphasis will be placed on the anointing for ministry. It is my heartfelt prayer that God will anoint you with fresh oil as you read this book. This is a must read for every minister and everyone who seeks to go into ministry to make an extraodianry difference. Kindly hit the buy buttin and get your copy!
