About this ebook

How much hi-jinx could you get into at the farmer's market?

Maggie Monroe loves nothing more than buying fresh ingredients and turning them into something that delights the taste buds. As a healthy eater, her favorite finds are fruits and vegetables, but once she tries a handsome baker's homemade hamantaschen she gets a sweet tooth for more than the yummy treat.

Zach Reed is an accountant by day and baker by night. Never did he imagine that his little hobby would land him the best fake date ever. Now, he had to work on turning their fake relationship into something as real as his delicious cookies.

Could a Sunday fun day be enough to prove to these two that, together, everyday could be fun?

This novelette of under 10k words can be read as a standalone, but can best be enjoyed when read as part of the Meet Cute series.

    Sunday Fun Day

Maggie Monroe woke up to delicious, warm kisses being lapped all over her face. She didn't hate it, but she would've preferred a bit more uninterrupted sleep. Even on a Sunday she couldn't quite catch a few extra winks. She woke up early five days a week and treasured her weekends, counting them as opportunities to catch up on sleep. The only problem was, she was the only one in this relationship who did.

Pulling back the covers, she rubbed her eyes with the back of her hands and stretched wildly, sending her newly adopted mutt scrambling down the side of her like she was a mountain.

Oh, Nacho, she laughed when she saw him pawing furiously to get back on top of her. Whatever made her think letting him sleep in her bed with her was a good idea, she couldn't remember. But, really, it was the companionship that she liked most, so she gave in, spoiling him rotten in the process.

Maggie scooped him up and set him down on the floor. He had tiny stubbly legs, so she hated to see him jump. Dressing to take him outside for a walk, she ambled about, excited for her day.

She had a few extra ingredients left over from meals this week and she usually reserved Sunday mornings for cooking them into something inventive. That certainly was the best way she knew how to use up what she had before she went to the farmer's market and loaded up for another week.

The Asheville farmer's market scene was alive and well. Some of the best local growers, bakers, and other foodies came out in masses
