About this ebook

At the River: Poems of Love and Laughter with God is a collection of inspirational, whimsical and holiday poetry that will remind you of what’s important in life. Toggling between poignant and witty word play, the poems will brighten your day while making you think.
Speaking to controversial topics like politics, religion, deconstruction, sexuality, social justice and more, this uplifting book puts wings on which your mind soars to places deep. From the first line to the last, it is clear that the words come from M.A. Hastings’ own deconstruction of faith, her own challenges and changes.
Through laughter, tears and quiet conviction, these poems will speak to the beat of your heart. With every poem, you will feel to your bones how madly in love with you is The River.
