ACT I

Scene 1: A space shuttle travelling through the cosmos.

Enter CAPTAIN and CREW.

CAPTAIN:

Hark, my brethren, we venture forth

To a planet new, of uncharted worth.

Our mission’s goal, to find new life

And the secrets that Terra Nova hides.

CREW:

Aye, Captain, with our skills and might

We shall conquer this planet’s sight.

SCENE 2: LANDING ON Terra Nova.

ENTER CAPTAIN AND CREW.

CAPTAIN:

HERE WE ARE, ON TERRA Nova’s soil

With our hearts full of hope and toil.

But let us be wary of this planet’s fate

And tread with caution, for danger awaits.

CREW:

Aye, Captain, we shall follow your lead

And succeed in this noble deed.

ACT II

SCENE 1: EXPLORATION of Terra Nova.

ENTER CAPTAIN, CREW, and ALIEN.

CAPTAIN:

What creature is this that comes our way,

With eyes that gleam like the Milky Way?

ALIEN:

I am a being of this planet’s range,

And your intrusion has caused me great rage.

CREW:

Fear not, alien, we come in peace

And seek to learn and earn your release.

ALIEN:

Alas, your words hold no weight

For your kind has brought only death and hate.

SCENE 2: STRUGGLE AND defeat.

ENTER CAPTAIN, CREW, and ALIEN.

ALIEN:

I shall not let you harm this land,

And with my strength, I’ll make my stand.

CAPTAIN:

We do not wish to cause you harm,

But if you resist, we’ll use our arm.

CREW:

Aye, Captain, let us show our power

And win this battle in this very hour.

ALIEN:

You may have weapons and strength to fight,

But nature’s wrath shall be your plight.

(THUNDER AND LIGHTNING strikes)

CAPTAIN:

What madness is this that surrounds us now,

Has Terra Nova turned on us somehow?

(SCENE FADES TO BLACK)

ACT III

Scene 1: The aftermath.

Enter CAPTAIN and CREW .

CAPTAIN:

Alas, my brethren, we’ve met our fate

And this planet’s wrath sealed our state.

Our arrogance and greed led us astray

And now we pay the price in dismay.

CREW:

Aye, Captain, our ignorance brought us here

And now we stand alone in fear.

SCENE 2: THE FINAL message.

ENTER CAPTAIN.

CAPTAIN:

To any who may find these words,

Let our tragedy be a warning heard.

For every planet has its own way,

And to intrude may lead to one’s decay.

May our sacrifice serve as a guide

And let the universe’s peace abide.

(EXIT CAPTAIN, AND THE curtain closes)
