    Footprints

    Footprints

    My heart is covered

    With tiny footprints.

    Little feet filled with

    Both pain and joy,

    Walking around in

    Memories way.

    Tears frozen

In the sands of an hourglass,

    Scratching my heart

    And hurting my mind.

    Age a film covering

    Bittersweet moments

    Caught in time.

    Cursor

    Blink at me,

    You cursed thing.

    Mocking me,

    As I cannot seem

    To write even a line.

    Again I find

    You blocking me,

    As I try to write.

    I know that I

    Could defeat

    The power that

    You possess,

    Simply using

    Paper and pen.

    Inspiration

    Fleeting,

    Inspiration struck.

It was not meant to last.

    The muse's call

    An ephemeral dream,

    Just as easy to grasp

    As a plume of steam.

    Using inspiration

    While it lasts.

    For all too soon,

    It will have passed.

    Sorry

    Apology expressed,

    Feeling so much less.

    Though it was sincerely meant,

    Felt like the act pulled

    Soul and heart from me.

    Saying such an often

    Carelessly tossed word

    Seems my tongue to burn.

    Failure flying overhead

    Like that housefly

    You never seem to find.

    Faery Bribes

    Honey cakes,

    Faery bribery makes.

    Leave for me

    Please no misery.

    Dance beneath

    The full moon light,

    Dance well into

    The wee hours of night.

    The glen a place

    Safe for all,

    From wee tiny

    To grand and tall.

    Vessel

Though the wind battered the vessel,

    Onward
