About this ebook

There are many books on the market today about rightly dividing. Many of them simply tell you what people have said or believe. This book takes you to the parameters of rightly dividing so that you can not only rightly divide the scriptures but have a better interpretation of the scriptures. Which ones apply to whom? How can it apply to you? Should we build an ark like Noah? These questions and many more are answered in this book, What Did He Say? It looks at what the three speakers of the Bible say--man, devil, and God. These are the main speakers, for the devil speaks through a serpent, and God speaks through angels, animals, and men. The book does not look at what men say but what the King James Bible says.

    About the Author

    In the Beginning…

Today, most, if not all, theology books are written to give truth, hope; that is their intention, but this one is more than that. This theology book was written with the idea of helping King James Bible students to rightly divide, interpret, and understand the Word of God. In this book, you will find the tools for doing just that, with the parameters of the Bible on rightly dividing.

It is important to pray before reading scripture as well as before reading this book. I pray this book helps you in not only rightly dividing and interpreting, but that it brings you closer to God. I have spent a lot of time studying scriptures in the classroom; over 125 classes had I taken to learn the scriptures. However, nothing is more important than to know the one that wrote the scriptures and not just the scriptures themselves.

I heard a great preacher preach, teach, and answer questions of the Bible. I thought I wanted to be just like that. I did not think to first know the one who is responsible for the scriptures existing, the great God who saved me. The scriptures exist to know God, not just to know the Word of God. The Notes page after each subject is there for your convenience to agree or disagree or even to partially agree with the content.

To my Savior and Lord, the Lord Jesus Christ.

    SPUDE

Many years ago when I was in the Army, I participated in a joint exercise. The Navy was there, Marines, the Army, and a few from the Air Force, if memory serves correctly. We were setting up a pier for military vehicles to go from ship to shore. This is done by using what is called a causeway system. There are whole pieces as well as smaller pieces which has to be put together for this causeway system to work as a temporary bridge going from the beach out to sea for boats to use for a pier. The waves were a bit choppy, and a private fell into the water. A Staff Sergeant was able to pull him out, but he himself fell in during the process.

The waves moved the small pieces of causeway back and forth, hitting each other. The Staff Sergeant who fell into the water was caught in between two smaller pieces of the causeway being hit like meat in a grinder. The other soldiers were able to pull him out although he was in bad shape but was likely to recover if medevac would get there in time. Unfortunately, the medevac was on the wrong radio channel and therefore unaware of the needed rescue. God is always on the right channel, but we seldom are. Some do not even have the correct radio, the King James Bible, through which to communicate with the Lord.

Communication is the most important part of life, and no one can enjoy life until they understand how to communicate. For those of us who were born into an English-speaking family, God spoke to you first and foremost in English. This makes English the original language in which God chose and chooses to speak to you. Thus, you need to know some things about English, not Greek, not Hebrew, and not Aramaic.

The basics of any language in order to speak that language are the following:

    Spelling

    Pronunciation

    Usage

    Definition

    Educated guess

Spelling, Pronunciation, Usage, Definition, and Educated guess. When anyone starts to know the basics of a language, they can then start to communicate. Spelling of words is important, and in English, we see that words can be spelled more than one way. One example of this is defence or defense; the dialect of English decides how this is spelled. One is British and one is American in spelling. Each country that learns English makes up its own dialect of English. This happens because the translation from their language carries over into the language they're learning, in this case English. This means that the people learning a new language bring with them bits and pieces of their native language.

You can tell what language they spoke before by pronunciation and the way they use words.

On a more personal level, we as individuals do the same thing with English. We have a tendency, some more than others, to make up words or to think a word means something when it does not. This comes about by what is in our past and the way in which people around us have dealt with us. They, or we, do it to God's word as well, thinking we know what God meant or was trying to say. This is done by some because they have been educated and think, I have arrived. When in actuality, we don't see what God was saying because we are not listening, we are not looking at it from God's point of view. We are here for his good pleasure, not ours.

Each dialect has different ways to pronounce words as well. Even in America, we see that there is more than one dialect. So if you are from the west, do you tell people in the south that they need to learn English? No, you simply try to blend in and learn to communicate in that dialect of English. Why then do we insist on doing that to God and his message? Yes, we could go so far as to then say that everyone needs to learn Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic. But God put his word in English, so we do not have to learn the original language when the original language for English-speaking people, that God will speak to you in, is English. What a surprise.

We get into dialect and see that there are many different dialects. The reason for different dialects is based upon where you are using English. This is true in America as well; we have southern English, northern English, western English, New Englanders, and many others. This means that SPUDE is needed even between these different dialects.

We must insert a necessary sidenote, that it is true that man translated the scripture from these three languages, Hebrew, Greek, and Assyrian. It is also necessary to note then that the many writers such as Moses, Jeremiah, Paul, and many more are also men. 2 Peter 1:21 says, "For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost."

The King James Bible translators were in three groups, and every verse was translated by one group and checked by the other two. It is necessary then as the Bible was being translated into English that the three groups had to talk about how it was to be translated; they had to be moved by someone to unite the scriptures from three languages into one. The beliefs of the men on those teams were not the same, and yet they wrote a book in unison that supported not what man believed but what God said. It amazes me that the ones against the King James onlyists also state the King James Bible is a good if not the best translation on the market today. But these so-called men of God still have the need to attack it and divide the people by encouraging them to use different Bible versions. That says what you want it to say; I mean, that is easiest for you to read. I am happy the translators of the King James Bible did not do that.

Then you have usage, which can be different according to which dialect you use. Even current versions of the Bible can be misunderstood if your English is from England or from the Philippines or some other dialect. This is also true with the King James Bible being in the Queen's English, which is not used anywhere today but in English class. The Bible is not easily understood if you do not work to understand it, and this includes prayer as well as going to church.

Work here is general, not specific. Stating that I work at the prison doesn't tell much of what I actually do. The work that a Christian is to do with the King James Bible is study. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 is very clear.

My daughter goes to a public school. She received an A on her quiz, and a fellow student, who got an F, asked her how she got an A. She said, I studied the material. Notice in English, one who goes to school is a student, very close to study, not work; not diligent the material as in these so-called modern versions state. I could not believe one man said that the modern word for study is diligent; the New King James Version uses this word. Although, I have never heard of a teacher to say to the students to diligent the material, not a one. Anyone who speaks English can give the excuse that they just don't understand or even make the effort to understand it. Even so-called modern versions are hard to understand if you just say the same thing; I don't understand, and they use 80 percent or more of the so-called archaic words of the King James Bible. Usage is how a word is used to communicate in any language.

I watched a cook talk to a customer and then was interrupted by the female customer. She says to the cook that her knife was dirty. The cook took the knife and licked it, then wiped it off under his armpit.
