FIRST ACT
Fred is in his garden, perfectly fenced in by a thick fence, which does not allow even the slightest breeze to get through. It is a decidedly impermeable border, separating the house from the neighbourhood. Fred is in the process of putting up yet another fence, a reinforcement to cover up the sounds, when he begins to hear a crashing sound on the central protection. The man looks up to decree its illusory silence. With muted satisfaction he returns, tirelessly, to beat with the menara. Between one blow and the next, he resumes listening to the dribbling on the division without porosity. Fred peremptorily throws down the iron and runs menacingly towards the wooden wall. He begins to yell
FRED Hey son of a bitch
On the other side silence resumes
FRED You listen to me kid, you son of a bitch. If you don't stop soon, I'm gonna unleash the beast in the back of your head
The silence is now intense
FRED You should know how badass he is. Your old man's rotten ass has been through a lot.
On the other side everything looks like ice
FRED Do you hear me you little prick, have you lost your tongue? This is my wall. And while you're allowed to look at the facade, you can't desecrate it on your own fucking time. You must keep your distance and venerate it as a work of art. Do you understand, son?
Suddenly that silence melts away
CODY It's a nice wall, sir. And I'm alone. My mother is in religious silence and my father is long gone. This wall is my playmate. I throw him the ball and he returns it every time, every time. He's very loyal, and not at all selfish. He sends it back to me again and again. I can close my eyes and trust it completely. Because I know it's going to come back to me. It's a beautiful love. And as you say, a masterpiece, if it allows a child to overcome loneliness and get closer to another, and to indulge his prayer
The man runs to get a ladder
FRED It must be worth the sacrifice to desecrate the border
Fred climbs the fence
FRED Listen motherfucker, I don't give a shit if you have growth issues, if your faggot father decided to change his orientation and shove it in the hairy hole instead of your mother's hallway, inexorably depriving you of crumbling some time with a black clone. I don't give a shit that your still-unwanky age doesn't pierce the ribs of loneliness. I don't give a shit about your motives. The bastion stands only and exclusively for my reasons. It does not have the objective of accompanying you to your first menstruation, it does not have the mission of educating you about otherness, solidarity, sharing and other such crap. It only has the sacrosanct task of separating me from your ugly faces. OK BOY. And now please show me your shitty little ass away from here..... That's right, take
