Since Brian Jennings first mentioned this book to me, I have excitedly anticipated reading it. The challenge to overcome limitations is something a lot of people talk about. Voices from TED Talks and school assemblies—motivational speakers and head coaches—challenge audiences, clients, and athletes to break through barriers and move forward. And, with those influences, we all hope to overcome our own limitations; however, Brian’s story is distinctive. Brian was pick ed by God.
I hold this opinion because I’ve known Brian. His story is not only jaw-dropping and perilous, but also threaded with the tapestry of a heroic rescue story. Brian’s rescue, initiated by God, is something captivating that I have watched him live out. He’s not only a great pastor, theologian, man of prayer, husband, father and friend; Brian is God’s saved man,
