He had always known he was different. For him different was good! It had all started the day he ate his first vegetable. Being around six months old he did not know or realise what was happening.

One minute he was sitting in his high chair and the next he was elsewhere! Far, far away! At that stage, he wasn't old enough to realise he had travelled away from his body and here he was in a strange place.

The first time it had happened, he was being spoon-fed pumpkin, all mashed up and gooey. Mum had been feeding him and then suddenly she and the spoon had vanished. He was sitting eye to eye with a cat and somewhere in the background, someone was speaking a foreign language. He was only there for a second or two. He'd only had a tiny bit off the spoon.
