Introduction
I must admit that gathering reports revolving around freshwater cryptids has been one of the more challenging endeavors since I began my writing career. It was actually one of the first topics I wanted to cover, but the lack of content I received via email forced me to place it on the back burner. For whatever reason, aquatic cryptids seem even rarer than the various cryptids I’ve learned so much about since my first run-in with a sasquatch in 2008. I suppose it’s not irrational to attribute that to humans spending significantly more time on land than in the water.
