The author is a graduate of the University of Alabama in Huntsville where she earned a Post-Master’s degree in Nursing. A retired Family Nurse Practitioner of 32 years. Rebecca enjoys the great outdoors doing all sorts of fun sports; golfing, hiking, kayaking, and sailing. She has a love of collecting antiques or anything old. She especially enjoys making old things look new again. Rebecca is a voracious reader and has a passion for writing. Rebecca has written about life experiences through poems and reflections. This collection of poems will spark a memory or cause one to pause and think, “I have been there before.” There are numerous quotes. A very interesting read. Rebecca is currently writing a novel, “The killing of Alfonso” based on true events.

    As one Looks out across an open field as far as the eye can see… amazing green grass with sunflowers leaning forward and smiling up at me. Standing in the center of this paradise is a solitary old Oak. A strong mighty oak with its branches reaching far and wide, its roots planted deep within the dark soil of the earth.

    A mighty old oak tree stands tall reaching upward to the sky. The old oak stands alone, unmoving, solid, and proud, reminds one of a man, an unforgettable man.
