The Book of Kindness - Kate Heath
Mr. Abdullah’s Good Deed
Every day after school, Saleh played football in the park. When he was there, he would always see an old man feeding bread to the pigeons.
The old man’s name was Mr. Abdullah. He came from a family of farmers. He lived outside of the town and walked a few kilometers to the park every day.
Mr. Abdullah’s shoes were worn down. There were holes in his clothes. He was skinny and hunched over. He looked like he could not buy a good meal for himself. How did he feed the birds?
Free Standing Man vector and pictureSaleh asked Mr. Abdullah, Sir, why do you give these birds bread every day? Why don’t you take better care of yourself?
