About this ebook
My Life in a Nutshell is about moments and conversations between me and God. It was when I was at my lowest when God started to reveal himself to me, showing and telling me things that I needed.
I had some rough things happen in my life, but I never let it turn me into a victim. It made me into the strong woman I am today.
I also have quotes from my late mother, Sheila A. Porter, who passed October 30, 2015.
She left me with some good words to turn back to when I needed them, and I pray they help you too.
My Life in a Nutshell is real and full of life-changing events that many won't talk about, and so when you read it, I pray it gives you strength and power to tell your story and that you learn to lean on God in times of trouble.

Prayer
Father God,
Thank you for the gifts and talents you've given me. Thank you for keeping me on track and ordering my steps. I repent today for any disobedience that has caused me to veer off course. Keep me close to you always as I set my love on you. In Jesus's name. Amen.

Well, say my family this, my family that…have you ever thought God put you in your family on an assignment? Because of you being born again or being a citizen of God's kingdom, he has you there for your family to learn. And see how God has brought you out, is bringing you out and through things, and he can do the same for them!

Always wanting somebody in your life is not a need, it's a want, and I've learned that if it's meant for that person to be in your life, then they will be, even if it's just a friendship. SN: I'm learning to love being single because I have great friendships.

Because of the trials and tribulations I have been through, I'm at a place of humbleness. I refuse to give up. God brought me through too much to backtrack to those places and feelings! As long as I keep my eyes on him and keep my faith in him, I'm going to always win! I don't care what people have to say about me or what they think they see in me. I know who I am. I'm a child of the Most High, and whatever he says I am, that's what I am!
