    Chapter 1

    Who Is Spirit?

The first peace, which is the most important, is that which comes within the souls of people when they realize their relationship, their oneness with the universe and all its powers, and when they realize at the center of the universe dwells the Great Spirit and that its centre is really everywhere, it is within each of us. – Black Elk

Spirit says I love you. Spirit says you are loved in an expansive way. You come from love. Love is part of your consciousness, your divine truth. Yet, who is Spirit and how did I discover this wealth of endless knowledge, mixed with love, patience, compassion and warmth?

Prior to communicating with the other dimensions, my journey in life had me first peel my many layers of self, to uncover my truth, my being, to reveal myself through various creative outlets, to get acquainted with my magical body and finally show it the reverence it finally deserves, that is the vehicle that houses my very soul. Through the help of therapy sessions, I ultimately invited and ignited reflection, contemplation, self-empowerment and so much more.

Then one day, in February 2020, I had the pleasure of meeting my higher self. With the use of a pink journal, I began asking open-ended questions, waiting a few seconds, and writing what I heard from within. The journal was gifted to me by someone in the know, intuitively speaking. She never imagined I was going to open Pandora’s box with her multi-coloured, journal box set. The colours of my journal are interesting too, each tied to the colours associated with the many who would come forward. I am not naturally drawn to pink and in my pursuit of self-love, the colour pink had a magical way of appearing in my vicinity, all with divine design. I see the importance of colour and how they each have a therapeutic effect.

The higher self, some believe it sits a few inches above your mind, while others, refer to it as the third eye. It has been my experience that it does not sit in one place but hovers around you. Your higher self is your all-knowing self. It holds the secrets of your existence in this life and the many lives before you and the many after you. Your higher self is the one constant that wraps around you. There is a reason we are being invited to meditate. With mental illness on the rise, meditation anchors one down. Mindful practices connect you with your heart’s centre, the magical gateway to your consciousness. Meditate, sit in silence, to connect to this wonder, this brilliance that has all the answers we seek, sitting quietly within. Start consulting with yourself. Start connecting with your inner wisdom. Quiet your mind long enough to hear this voice, this intelligent exchange, this insightful chat that will finally awaken the truth you seek.

While I continued using my journal to further discover this new endeavour, a few days later, I discovered my boardroom of helpers, who follow me around throughout this lifetime and assist when necessary. Imagine a boardroom of consultants looking after you, working 24/7 throughout each entire life. That is their assignment, to follow you as you navigate life’s trials and tribulations. My boardroom of helpers or councillors consisted of four. This varies for some. I continue to visualize them sitting around this oval table and looking at me, face to face. Their eyes are on me, as are the eyes of your very personal team of guides. Yes, they see you naked too, and everything in between! It took me a while to get over this one.

Don’t confuse this with your higher self, who follows you around from life to life. Incarnation is a thing, as in many lifetimes experienced by the one and only soul. These incarnations allow for the expansion of consciousness. We experience multiple lives to allow our souls an opportunity to expand. We learn by interacting in our physical world. Each time our physical body dies, our loved ones lay our meat suit—our skin and bones—down to rest, while our soul travels to the afterlife.

Once there, after some time (is this a good moment to tell you that the notion of time is up for debate too?), we choose to reincarnate, once again, into a new life, with a new world of opportunities, but this process takes detailed planning by putting together a team of helpers and drafting plausible paths the soul wishes to experience. It is an arduous process to create a detailed blueprint on the soul’s next journey. Location choice is an interesting one too, as time on Planet Earth, for a human, is the longest running life possible as well as the most challenging. While Earth may seem the only conceivable option, know that many others are available, but with a shorter duration. Did you really think, that in the great, vast universe, Earth was the only choice for life?

While the world was panicked about the Covid pandemic (for good reason), I felt as if I had opened a hidden, magical and mystical door into another world. The experience initially felt like a secretive endeavour, a place where I found myself connecting to an invisible world, while feeling riddled with doubt, skepticism, and disbelief, but most of all, curiosity. How could this be?

A few days after, the door opened once more, to have me connect with my late father, who had passed away five years prior and whose wisdom post-life-on-Earth was unimaginable. You see, during his lifetime on Earth, my father and I shared a connected bond, far from an easy one, but he shaped me to be who I am today—strong, determined with a solid work ethic.

For starters, we had been interacting in French since the early seventies, when I was a very young girl, born in Iran. He wanted me to have access to another language, especially while I was being raised in Teheran. In life my papa was, for the most part, a few steps ahead of the game. Perhaps, he anticipated the instability about to happen in 1977 Iran, when the Shah was overthrown by the Islamic regime, which removed any remnants of democracy that once existed. My father wanted to prepare his family for the many changes we were about to face.

Despite his many strengths, he had a challenging character, which paired with the backdrop of a deeply rooted Iranian culture, made it tough for me as a girl attempting
