The Acts29online Ministry Manual is primarily a collection of Christian healing and deliverance prayers that have been time-tested and proven during more than 20 years of ministry. It is designed for the prayer minister who is already familiar with inner healing and deliverance ministry; providing Scripture-based prayers that address both broad and very specific issues.

It is organized by category: ancestral iniquity, womb and early life issues, forgiveness/judgments/vows, sins against the body, occult, and other general prayers. Each category opens with an introduction to the topic and an explanation for why and how choices within that area can affect the health and well-being of the born again Believer. Within each category, specific prayers are arranged alphabetically for easy reference. For example, within the Occult category the reader will find prayers that address a seeker's involvement in astrology, palm reading, false religions, Yoga, astral projection, Freemasonry, as well as many others. In the Sins against the Body category, the reader will find prayers to renounce and heal the effects of pornography, sexual sin, cutting, eating disorders, attempted suicide, and abortion, to name a few.

This revision of an earlier printing includes an extensive suggested reading list and several ministry protocols developed by other healing ministries and reprinted by permission.

INTRODUCTION

I remember starting out in the deliverance ministry and wishing I had the words to adequately address the strongholds we encountered. Holy Spirit always led us through, but every ministry session felt like inventing the wheel all over again. I started writing down the prayers that worked for us, the prayers we prayed as we dug into the Word and were led by Holy Spirit. Over time, we gained a much deeper and broader insight into certain issues as we watched the Lord set people free from specific bondages, lies, torments, traumas, and all kinds of emotional and physical afflictions. As a result of those additional experiences, we took notes and expanded or changed the prayers based on what we were learning.

At the same time, I started collecting other ministers’ prayers. Why reinvent a wheel that is already working so well? I have shamelessly copied, begged, borrowed, and chased after prayers that identify the vows, agreements, and particulars unique to various kinds of activities. This seemed especially important as I encountered topics for which I had no prior knowledge or experience, such as other religions and/or cults, addictions to substances, or ungodly activities. I found that prayers written by people who had, in essence, been there and done that, were incredibly accurate and powerful. They knew the kinds of agreements that had to be broken. They understood the lies that led people into specific sins or idolatries and transferred those revelations and knowledge into their prayers.

I want to express my deepest gratitude for all those mighty men and women who have shared their prayers, insights, experiences, and testimonies. To the best of my ability, I have tried to accurately give credit to the authors of as many of these prayers as possible, but so many of them come from my piles of begged or borrowed papers, fuzzy 10th generation copies with handwriting all over them, and I have no clue where they originated. I apologize to any in advance who may recognize a prayer that is not attributed to them. I do not want to, even accidentally, take credit for someone else’s work or revelation.

I would like to particularly thank certain ministries and individuals who have greatly contributed to my understanding of the healing and deliverance ministry, as well as to my stacks of prayers: Rodney Hogue, Kay Tolman, Natasha Grbich, Henry Malone, Elijah House, Dani Tzanova, Diane Hawkins, Ken Fish, Chester and Betsy Kylstra, and Neil Anderson. There are so many others! Truly, all ministry is a cooperative venture within the Body of Christ.

HOW TO USE THIS MANUAL

Several people have asked why we at Acts29online have made so many changes with this revision. For those who are interested, here are the reasons.

Initially, our Manual was simply a way to pass on the prayers that people were requesting. We just wanted to help others do what we considered vitally important: help set believers free from torment and oppression, and invite the Lord to heal and restore spirit, soul, and body.

We are constantly developing prayers to address unique or new situations. By the time the original 2018 Manual came out in print we had already written more prayers we wanted to share. Also, with time, regular use taught us where we needed to shorten, rearrange, or elaborate on the prayers we already had. That means some of the prayers in this revision will be different from prayers with the same title in the original Manual. I’m glad the Lord is constantly teaching us, constantly increasing and renewing our understanding!

Originally, we assumed anyone requesting such a Manual was already trained in deliverance and inner healing ministry and wanted to expand his/her prayer library. Based on the emails and questions, we realized many people bought the Manual because they wanted prayer help for themselves, or for friends and family, but had no formal training in how to implement such prayers. We realized we needed to incorporate some basic directions to help these brave and resourceful individuals know how to put the prayers into action.

However, having an outline and a handful of prayers is no substitute for good training. Mucking about in someone’s painful memories and wounded heart, or arbitrarily stirring up demons, can be dangerous. The original Manual offered very little instruction, direction, or explanation. Although we have not set out to replace the many wonderful books on deliverance and inner healing (a.k.a. - healing of memories, soul care, trauma ministry), we felt some direction and explanations were necessary. Since we chose to compile a book of prayers, rather than write a book on deliverance or inner healing, we have also added an extensive Recommended Reading List.

In addition, the original Manual was not terribly user friendly, and many people never noticed the outline for ministry protocol we had provided. It made sense that we should organize the Manual into sections based on the type of prayers (generational, occult, sexual sin, forgiveness, etc.), and then slot the appropriate prayers into each section for easier reference. We included additional direction in each section to help guide the prayer minister.

About Pre-Written Prayers

It’s important to remember that all prayers are merely suggestions, a pad from which to launch. Holy Spirit knows exactly what needs to be said in every situation. The sons of Sceva learned that healing is about relationship, not a formula or a prescribed series of words. Without Holy Spirit, without understanding our identity in Christ, these prayers are impotent.

The value of prewritten prayers is that the minister has a place to begin. In many instances, especially in deliverance ministry, specificity is crucial. While being careful not to make any kind of doctrine, we want to stress how important it is to understand that sometimes it is necessary to confess, repent, renounce, and break specific things. A prayer written by someone knowledgeable about the topic will include the important specifics that someone else might not know. Such a prayer will include scriptural truths that contradict the lies common to that particular issue. So, prewritten prayers can serve as a general guide as well as a primer for unique issues pertinent to a particular topic.

Prewritten prayers, assuming they are based on Scripture and follow well-understood guidelines for confessing, renouncing, and removing, are powerful training tools. A well-designed prayer will carefully lead the seeker through the appropriate steps of confession, repentance, renunciation, and restoration or, in the case of demonic presence, removal. Both the new minister and the seeker can learn how to structure a scriptural prayer after following prewritten prayer models. Our goal in ministry is not to create people who are dependent on us every time they need prayer. We want to equip the body of Christ to know how to respond when Holy Spirit reveals something that requires prayer.

The danger of pre-written prayers is that the minister becomes dependent on the words of the prayer as if it is an incantation, a magic charm, expecting that exact wording is the key to success. Believing that a certain combination of words or gestures or steps will heal someone is a form of divination. Our confidence can never be in anything other than the work of God in any of His three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Prayers open the door so God can step in. Despite all our experience, study, and sophistication, sometimes the most successful prayer is Jesus HELP! And yet, experience supports the premise that specifics within the prayer often unlock or unstick a stubborn door so it can finally be opened.

We use the prayers as a beginning template, as a suggested guide, but we are careful to continually listen for Holy Spirit to lead us, either to eliminate parts of the prayer or to add wording based on the unique individual with whom we are praying.

Please note: We have chosen to use the universal he throughout this manual in order to avoid the complicated and tongue-twisting he/she, his/hers attributions. Assume that everywhere we use the pronoun he we mean to include both/either of the sexes.

About Protocol (Structuring the Ministry)

There is no absolute right or wrong way to organize prayer ministry. The protocol we use at Acts29online is not meant to be held up as better than other protocols, and certainly not as the only way to do ministry. It’s just the way we felt led to organize how we do ministry. The ministry outline provided in this Manual works for us. One of the reasons it works is that we hold it loosely, we remain flexible.

Just like prewritten prayers, an organized protocol is not meant to be engraved in stone. Our mighty God determines the order, duration, depth, and focus of each ministry session. He regularly shows us when we need to depart from our expected guidelines. He has taken us places in prayer we never imagined, we couldn’t have imagined. Just to be clear: we don’t always follow our own protocol! We follow Holy Spirit. Sometimes, often, He works within our expected procedures. It’s so nice when that happens. But when He departs from the expected and leads us onto unknown pathways to pull up roots, close doorways, break oppressions, heal trauma, identify lies and replace them with truth…THAT is awesome!

The Lord’s presence, His intervention, is the carrot that is always before us. We live for that moment when He touches the seeker with His great love and compassion. We know that, except for His intervention, we can do nothing. We consistently remind ourselves that, as Randy Clark often says, we are merely the donkey He rides in on. In this way we prevent our confidence from ever depending on our own abilities, anointing, or experience…OR because of the wording of our prayers or the order in which we pray.

We often try to develop a prospective outline for the ministry session based on information from the questionnaire and the interview. The prospective outline, or protocol, for the upcoming ministry is the result of prayer combined with experience based on how the Lord has previously worked in similar situations. But we realize it is a plan that might change. Sometimes that prospective plan is the one we follow with very little deviation. Sometimes, we simply toss it out because the Lord takes us in an entirely different direction. As always, the final ministry plan is up to Him.

With all of those cautions, we have revised this Manual to reflect a suggested order for the prayer ministry. We have organized the sections based on how our own ministry usually flows. We almost always work through Ancestral Iniquity first, and we almost always tear down Strongholds (see that section for explanation) as a final, mopping up. Unless the Lord leads differently, we typically work in chronological order: Ancestral Iniquity, Womb Ministry, birth and early childhood issues and trauma, etc.

We lead the seeker through forgiveness as a standalone section of ministry. But we also address forgiveness at any time during ministry as needed: to forgive an ancestor for ungodly dedications or iniquity that defiled the bloodline, to forgive a doctor involved in a painful childhood medical procedure, to forgive bullies on the elementary school playground. There are certain prayers the minister will use over and over. Once familiar with those the minister can flow smoothly from one to the other. Ministry is like a dance, with Holy Spirit setting the rhythm and leading the steps. Our goal is to learn to gracefully follow Him.

The individual prayers are grouped according to topics and organized in the appropriate sections. For instance, all the prayers having to do with previous generations are grouped into the section entitled Ancestral Iniquity. You will never lead a seeker through every generational prayer. But you will find them grouped together so you can easily select those appropriate for each individual. All the prayers that address witchcraft and occult are grouped into the section entitled Occult. In the same way, you will strategically select the ones appropriate for your seeker.

One important note: Each prayer is written as a standalone prayer. That means much of the same wording is built into each prayer. If you lead the seeker through several prayers within the same section, as often happens with sexual sin and the occult, be careful not to repeat the same material over and over. You will exhaust your seeker through unnecessary redundancy, and you will challenge his faith if it seems he has to renounce and break the same thing several times. Edit as you go so this doesn’t happen!

If you are new to healing and deliverance prayer, our outlines and prayers will position you for scriptural ministry. They will help keep you on solid footing until you are more confident in hearing the Lord for yourself. Our prayers stand firmly on scriptural promises and we have been careful not to challenge demonic hierarchies outside the bounds of biblical authority. If something unexpected comes up during ministry, we have attempted to anticipate what that would be based on our own experience and direct you to the prayers which will address those extenuating circumstances. 

We pray this Manual blesses, encourages, and challenges you to step out to minister healing prayer. We pray you develop absolute confidence that God will show up and that His anointing will break every yoke. The field is white, the need great, the cause crucial to the health of the Body of Christ.

May the Lord anoint and direct you. May He spread His wing over you. May He lead and empower you. Most of all, may He be glorified as He deserves!

Why We Don’t Get Information from Demons

Many people ask us why we don’t converse with demons during deliverance ministry. We do speak to the demonic, but only when we command them to go, to be silent, to release, to stop tormenting and/or causing pain. We NEVER ask demons for information.

There are several reasons we are so inflexible on this topic:

A man or a woman who is a medium or a necromancer shall surely be put to death. They shall be stoned with stones; their blood shall be upon them. (Lev. 20:27)

What is the definition of a medium? A person through whom the spirits of the dead are alleged to be able to contact the living…a channel of communication. That means that when we converse with a demon through the seeker with whom we are ministering we are causing that person to become a medium, channeling the demonic.

We refuse to cause someone to do something that carried a death sentence in the Old Testament.

If a person turns to mediums and necromancers, whoring after them, I will set my face against that person and will cut him off from among his people. Lev. 20:6

God clearly tells us not to seek out mediums to gain information through them from the spirit realm. He wants us to go to HIM for information.

The best way to minister is to depend totally on the faithfulness of God who will always supply everything we need to accomplish His purposes. Do some people gain seemingly helpful information from the demons they question? Perhaps. But while there are many ways to do something, some ways are better than others. Why wouldn’t we ask Holy Spirit instead of a demon?

Demons lie. Satan is the father of lies. In the end, we cannot always discern whether the answers we receive from demons are artful deception, partial truths designed to misdirect, or total lies. When Holy Spirit leads us, we always know the answers are straight and true.

One of our goals during ministry is to RID the person of demonic control. We want to demonstrate to the seeker that he is the boss of his body and he does not have to allow the demonic to control him in any way. How can we teach that crucial truth if we are asking him to give up control of his vocal chords so we can get information from a demon that we aren’t sure we can trust…information which we should be getting from Holy Spirit?

Many people are shamed and humiliated when demons use them, and that includes taking control of the body and speaking through them. Humans, created in the image of a holy God, were never intended to be controlled or used by demons. People requesting deliverance ministry have probably already experienced enough shame and humiliation. They do not need us to cause more of the same.

Finally, we want to address the story about Jesus and the demoniac from Matthew 8, Mark 5, and Luke 8. At first glance it appears that Jesus asks the demon its name, but we read that passage a bit differently because we are fairly certain Jesus knew which demons were there. From our own experience, we know that sometimes a demon answers when we address a demonized person. It has happened to anyone who has done very much deliverance ministry.

It is our firm belief that Jesus was speaking to the MAN, reaching out to him, demonstrating His compassion toward him. This is in keeping with His way of ministering, which was to welcome people, teach them, and then heal them (Luke 9:11). We believe that when Jesus asked the man’s name it was a way of attempting to welcome/acknowledge him. But the demon, which was almost in total control, answered instead.

We believe this understanding of the incident is more in accordance with the totality of Scripture regarding Jesus and deliverance. There is no other scripture where Jesus asked a question of a demon, but there were several times when Jesus clearly commanded demons to be silent (Mark 1:25; Luke 4:35; Luke 4:41). Other times, Jesus simply ignored the demon and cast it out (Luke 11:14; Mt. 8:16; Mark 9:25; Luke 13:10-17)

Jesus didn’t need to get information from demons. He knew how to hear Holy Spirit!

GETTING STARTED

Freedom Ministry Outline (adapted from the method used at Acts29online)

We have organized this Manual into sections based on an outline of our ministry protocol. The initial sections follow a chronological pattern: generational/ancestral prayers, womb ministry, early life prayers, and then other types of prayer. Although we often follow a chronological timeline when praying for someone that is not a hard-and-fast rule. Sometimes Holy Spirit wants us to deal with issues like forgiveness or the occult or wrong beliefs before we do womb or early life ministry. After that, the sections are listed in no particular order because ministry rarely proceeds in the same order every time.

We have never taken one person through every prayer in the Manual. We select prayers based on the individual’s story and what we learn as we go. We identify patterns in the family (which can reveal generational issues) and patterns in the individual’s life (which can also point to ancestral iniquity and curses, but also to wrong beliefs about others, self, and God). We identify soul wounds that will require inner healing. We make note of areas where sin has opened doors to spiritual torment or oppression. We address those issues through prayer as Holy Spirit leads.

We minister once a week in two-three hour time segments. Because we expect to spend several sessions with each person we are not in a hurry and have the luxury of taking our time, lingering in one place as long as necessary. The important thing is to end each ministry session at a time when the recipient is in a good place; emotionally stable, at peace, ready to rest. We never stop while someone is struggling, afraid, or confused. Holy Spirit is so good to bring us to the perfect stopping place every time. We have learned how to identify that moment and we are careful to honor it when it arrives. That means sometimes we minister for two hours, sometimes for three, and every once in a while we just cut it very short. God knows what a person is able to bear, and He always lets us know when ministry is finished for the day!

Pre-ministry:

We gather a lot of information prior to ministry. We do this through a very thorough questionnaire followed by an interview. Pre-ministry requirements we prefer to have completed before the first ministry session include:

Having received and studied the Interactive Questionnaire, we conduct a live interview by appointment. It is possible, sometimes advisable, to combine this interview with the first ministry appointment. At this time you will confirm what is on the questionnaire, asking for elaboration when necessary. Where answers are not clear on the questionnaire you may want to dig deeper. These are loaded questions which may provide insight into specific strongholds:

What is your first memory?

What significant things happened before you started school?

What do you remember about Kindergarten – 8th grade. Take it year by year.

By the time you were in second grade, had anyone touched you inappropriately or had you touched yourself inappropriately?

What significant things happened in high school?

Did you give your heart to anyone in high school?

Describe any significant events during the college years (or early adult years).

When I ask you to think about your father, what words immediately come to mind to describe him? Focus on feelings, and not facts or information. Don’t think too hard about it, what do you feel?

What about your mother?

Anything else significant that we have not discussed or that is not covered by the questionnaire?

During the interview, you are looking specifically for judgments, vows, trauma, major life changes like moving to a new city/school, divorce, and sickness (especially hospitalization). Keep a written list of all judgments and traumas. You will deal with them separately. This interview, combined with the Interactive Questionnaire, will reveal the primary lies the seeker believes about self, God, and other people. It will also highlight major trauma that may require ministry as well as wounds that may require inner healing.

Once the interview is completed you should have a fairly vivid picture of the areas that will need prayer and a good list of judgments and vows that are operating in the seeker’s life.

Establish the Atmosphere for Ministry

Establishing the proper atmosphere for ministry is incredibly important. You are preparing to enter the Lord’s presence. You are touching the supernatural realm as you invite His presence, call forth the anointing, and deal with the demonic. Many of the people for whom you pray will have active curses operating in their lives. There will be demons assigned to enforce the operation of those curses and to fight their cancellation. There are many books that can help you understand what happens in the spiritual realm during ministry. They are listed in the Recommended Reading List.

We are New Testament people. Through Jesus’ blood we have been cleansed and sanctified and have been given all authority over every work of the enemy. We are promised that nothing shall by any means harm us (Luke 10:19). Knowing the powerful truth about Jesus’ finished work should not make us careless. Those to whom we minister are often vulnerable to demonic attack because of their own choices or the choices of their ancestors. It is good sense and good stewardship to ensure that we enter into ministry (which will often look like warfare) having established the proper rules of engagement based on God’s Word. We have the authority to release His Kingdom on this earth.

A good set-up prayer establishes your authority, releases God’s Word, sets the rules of engagement, erects boundaries, and calls protections into place. We have shared the one we use to open every ministry session. Sometimes Holy Spirit gives us additional scriptures to pray over the session, and often we move into worship before we are finished. We can’t help but praise Him as we become aware of His beautiful presence, as angels make themselves known to our seers, and a gentle peace settles around us. He is always completely faithful to inhabit our praises (Ps. 22:3) and to look over His word to perform it.

After the set-up prayer we begin ministry. We typically lead the seeker in either the Lordship Declaration, or the Seeker’s Confession, whichever is most appropriate. Then, unless the Lord leads otherwise, we begin with Breaking Ancestral Iniquity.

Throughout this Manual we attempt to offer direction to help you traverse the territory between one stronghold and the next, making transitions as natural as possible. All of that begins with the next page.

Suggestions for Ministry

There is a lot of repetition in healing ministry. For instance, the protocol is basically the same for every person the seeker needs to forgive. Repentance will typically be done over and over again…not for the same thing…but as each transgression is illuminated.

We thought it might be helpful to share how we typically go about ministering and ending each prayer. We do not want to create a formula. We offer our typical approach and wording simply as a guide to get you started.

Except for the Freemasonry Curse Breaking prayer, which the seeker reads, we almost always use the prayers in a Repeat After Me format. This way the seeker can concentrate on having a heart prayer attitude toward the Lord, as well as listening to Holy Spirit. We encourage the seeker to take his time, to pray earnestly and from the heart, even though it is a repeat after me prayer. We instruct him to: 1) ask us if he doesn’t understand any part of the prayer, because he should only pray what he understands and what agrees with what he wants to say to God. Our prayers are suggested wording only, so we often add renunciations or commands, or leave out what doesn’t seem to apply. 2) to let us know if he gets any words of knowledge or wisdom, prophetic words, visions, pictures, or strong emotions while praying. We want to pray into those with him. 3) to alert us to any physical symptoms he feels during the prayer.

We firmly believe that we are not ministering TO someone…we are ministering WITH him. The seeker needs to be very involved in the process. As the seeker prays, the minister prays in agreement. Sometimes we verbally reinforce a command. We also stop if there are any signs of manifestation and deal with whatever spirit is revealed at that time.

In most of our prayers there is a place for the minister to pray after the seeker has finished praying. Here are suggested words/actions for wrapping up a deliverance prayer:

The Minister Prays: In agreement with _____’s confession and repentance, and based on his renunciation and cancellation of all invitations or agreements with demonic entities, I ask You, Father God, to break all holds and attachments at the second heaven level. I stand in Jesus’ authority, and break the hold of (insert whichever spirits are appropriate for the prayer), at this earthly level. I command every spirit that gained access to _____’s life or bloodline as a result of (name issue) to release and go now. Go where the Lord Jesus sends you, never to return. Take all your devices and anything brought in with you. Leave nothing behind. Jesus, I ask You to remove any gatekeeping spirits and close and seal forever all access points and portals.

Lord, I thank You for completely cleansing, refreshing, and healing every part of ___that was damaged or defiled by these spirits (you may want to be specific). I thank You that he is white as snow in these areas. Please heal every part of his body, down to the DNA level, restoring every cell into Your original perfect design. Holy Spirit, flow in like a mighty river into every part of ____ that has now been emptied. Establish the Lordship of Jesus in every part of his territory, leaving no place unoccupied. Begin the construction of godly strongholds in the place of the ungodly strongholds that have been demolished. (You may call forth the appropriate godly strongholds). We then bless the seeker as the Lord leads and based on what has been dealt with in prayer.

Setup Prayer

(adapted from prayers by Kay Tolman and Vision Life Ministries)

A good set-up prayer is absolutely necessary. Don’t skimp on set-up! Use this wording as a template but feel free to elaborate as the Lord leads. We often move into a short time of worship after this prayer because the presence of Holy Spirit is so strong.

Minister: Dear Heavenly Father, we humble ourselves before Your throne as Your willing servants, and we confess that You are the God of all created beings and by You comes salvation, power, authority, healing, and freedom. We establish that Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the One who came from Heaven, died on the cross, was raised the third day, and now sits at the right hand of the Glory in heaven…He is Lord over this ministry time. Whenever we say the name Jesus, it is He to whom we refer, and none other.

Lord, we ask Your divine hand of guidance and blessing as we enter into ministry today. We acknowledge that Jesus Christ is the deliverer, the great physician, and the wonderful counselor for ____________________. Thank You for giving us eyes of revelation and discernment, and ears to hear Your instruction. Thank You for words of knowledge, words of wisdom, prophetic utterances, and visions. Thank You that You reveal what has been hidden. We are so grateful that truth sets us free. We surrender ourselves to You, Holy Spirit, and commit this time for Your glory. We invite You to have Your way in this place and thank You in advance for all You intend to accomplish here today. We acknowledge that Your timing is perfect, and this is the time You have ordained from the foundations of the world especially for __________________. Thank You for the privilege of participating with You to bring healing and freedom to her/him.

Father, I thank You that You have already established an impenetrable hedge of protection around our time together and that You have positioned Your guarding angels in strategic places around us. I ask you to send Your heavenly angels to inspect the canopy over this ministry session and to make it secure. This place is holy ground.

By the authority of Jesus, I bind any darkness or forces of evil brought into this gathering, and I render it utterly powerless. I forbid all communication or interaction between them or any other forces of evil including the principalities, powers, and rulers of darkness in this world, and spiritual wickedness in high places assigned to this geographic area.

I bind and forbid any watcher, teller, recorder, distracting, misleading, blocking, or hindering spirits from operating here, or any human spirits or astral projected entities from remaining. I sever all evil access routes into this ministry session and declare that entities outside this canopy cannot hear or see or know what is happening during this session, and they cannot enter or send re-enforcements. I sever and close all communication to occult workers, witches’ covens, masonic lodges, and all other satanic sources.

In Jesus’ name, I wield the sword of the spirit to sever and cut all ungodly ley lines represented here. I take authority over and bind all lying and deceitful spirits, vain imaginations, false impressions and counterfeit gifts, signs, and wonders.

As we move into ministry, I forbid the transference of spirits in any form. I bind all manifestations or displays of any kind. You will do no harm. You will not resist, hide, or delay. You may not draw strength or power from any source. You will not split, divide, or multiply. You may not speak. When commanded to do so you will release completely, including mind, will, emotions, physical body, and spirit. You will bind tightly together with any other spirit that you invited in or that entered with you and go directly to the feet of Jesus Christ at my command.

This entire session is in the mighty name and authority of Jesus Christ. He is the healer, redeemer, restorer, and Lord. All glory to Him, for He alone is worthy to receive all glory, honor, and praise. AMEN

Lordship Declaration

Lead the confirmed Christian seeker to pray this out loud in the first session only. We overcome by the word of our testimony! This prayer, declared with conviction and faith, is powerful. If unsure about salvation or commitment, see the Seeker’s Confession Prayer.

Prayer: Mighty God, I acknowledge and confess that the blood of Jesus Christ was shed for me. I have chosen to make Jesus my Lord and Savior. As a result, I am a joint heir with Him, a king and priest on this earth, a minister of reconciliation learning how to bring heaven to earth to glorify You and reveal Your kingdom.

Jesus lives in me and I live in Him. Because He has already overcome the world, I am more than an overcomer in all things. He has given me authority over every work of the enemy, to trample scorpions and snakes, and nothing shall by any means harm me.

I confess and decree that all of His promises are yes and amen and active for me because He came to bring me abundant life. It is the devil that comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I acknowledge that God is always good, and all good things come from Heaven. Therefore, today I renounce any and all ways I have blamed my Heavenly Father for the work of the thief and destroyer.

Jesus became a curse for me when He hung on the cross in my place, bearing my sins, paying my penalty so I could be free, healed, whole, and restored. Today I proclaim my restoration and redemption in Him, not because I deserve it, but because I belong to Him.

Today I come before the throne of heaven to break every curse, cancel every assignment, take back any and all ground I have given to any demonic entity…including the ground given by my ancestors. I proclaim that I have the right in Jesus Christ to be a cleansed vessel of honor without spot or blemish.

I declare the works of the enemy are defeated in every area of my life. The old sinful man is dead, and has been buried with Christ in baptism, and the new me has been resurrected into new birth by His completed work of grace. I am a new creation in Christ. I am seated with Him in the heavenlies. I declare that no weapon formed against me can prosper, in Jesus mighty name.

Seeker’s Confession Prayer

Sometimes you are not confident the seeker is born again; or he is displaying a tremendous amount of unease; or has not walked with the Lord in quite a while. In those situations, lead him in this prayer rather than the Lordship Prayer. We have noticed that, if the seeker is under a lot of oppression, this prayer seems to clear the atmosphere and usher in a sweet peace.

Father God, I come to You in the name of my Lord, Jesus Christ. I confess that I have sinned. I recognize that my sins are wicked, ungodly, and against You. Please forgive me for my sins and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. I also repent and confess for my ancestors’ sins. Please forgive us for any way in which we have given evil spirits access to our bloodline, to my life, and to my descendants.

Today I choose to surrender my life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. I recognize that You, Lord, have given me a free will to choose my way or Your way. I thank You that You loved me even when I was Your enemy (Rom. 5:10). You bought me with a great price and redeemed me from the slave market of sin (1 Cor. 7:23). You desire to give me abundant life. You desire to have intimate fellowship with me.

Forgive me for the times I have resisted You, for going my own way, for making my own decisions. I confess that I have not always followed You with my whole heart; that I have not always trusted You with my life.

Right here, right now, I give You my full heart. I hold nothing back. I give
