About this ebook
As President, I wear many hats, but I never imagined one would include trading human females with aliens.
I must tread lightly because there's no way of knowing if this is an honest agreement or a precursor to a deadly alien invasion.
Am I helping combat a dwindling female population or am I setting us up for disaster?

Madam President - Maze Leigh
Chapter one
Istared at the computer screen in front of me. I couldn’t help but frown at the information I was supposed to make a decision about. Would I re-run for another term? It was a big decision to make. Something I couldn’t take lightly, but my team wanted to know now so they could start planning, even though it would be a few years away. Time moved fast yet also slowly when in politics.
Hmm?
I muttered as I cast a glance over at the door of my office. The light knock that I had ignored was increasing becoming a bang against my door. My left eye twitched as the noise vibrated throughout my room. I had said I didn’t want to be disturbed; I was in a bad mood. To make a big decision that would dictate the next few years of my life, I needed peace and quiet to decide.
My life was comprised of work and only work. I would be stuck behind a desk if I re-ran, and if I was going to be stuck in this chair I at least wanted to have something to look forward to in my personal life to make all of this worth it. But alas, being in my position made it hard to have a love life. All my friends were those in the field who worked under me. After all, it wasn’t possible to have a higher job that me.
Madam President, this is urgent!
I stood from my chair, hastening to the door to yank it open. The panicked expression of a man who was not my secretary stood on the other side. Who was he and why did he have the nerve to be knocking on my door?
This better be urgent or else,
I growled as I walked out of my office. The man was paralyzed at my door, unable to respond to my threat.
Well, are you going to lead the way or are you going to be leaving your president standing here?
Yes, Madam President!
he squeaked as he bolted in front of me, scurrying down the hallway as I followed after him. Not too fast to the point I floated down the hallway, but enough that I wouldn’t lose sight of the mouse in front of me.
Right this way, Madam President,
he called as he continued down the hallway. His lips shook as he tried to give me a smile, which only caused me to arch an eyebrow in return. Yeah, I could be intimating, but my time was precious. If someone wasn’t going to get straight to the point, then I had better things to be doing.
The young man stopped in front of the meeting room and waited for me to follow. If this was a meeting to discuss my future election, I might just bite someone’s head off. I was still thinking about it, and I needed something out of this world to happen to keep the boredom and stress under wraps.
With my hands stuffed into the pockets of my white pantsuit, I slowed my pace. No reason to seem in a rush to attend the meeting. They had to wait for me, after all.
The mouse pushed open the door and stood off to the side, letting me walk past. He squeaked out some words before closing the door but I didn’t pay him any attention. It was the faces of my Joint Chiefs of Staff that had me frowning and cursing under my breath. This was not about my re-election if he was here; it was something else that would give me a headache. There was no dread forming in the pit of my stomach, waiting for the shoe to drop. I had been through this a million times before and while the news never got better. It was a routine. One I was very familiar with.
I strolled forward, sitting in the chair at the head of the table. Crossing my legs, clasping my hands together on my lap, I waited for the man to speak.
Madam President, sorry to call on you so suddenly…
Adam Walker was a decorated man. The million medals he wore were testament to that. He was several years older than me, and by several I mean at least several decades. He had mentioned my age early on when I first took up the mantle of president, and he learned very quickly that I could have a fiery temper when triggered. My role required me to be levelheaded, especially when dealing with other nations, but I did not handle insubordination in my ranks well. He learned to never mention my age, and I returned the favor by not mentioning his. He should be focusing on where he would like to be buried instead of dragging
