      Author’s Note

      This book is the culmination of a journey of growth and hard times. Many of the poems you are about to read might invoke a flux of different emotions, from sadness to relatability; if you can relate to any of these, then you and I have walked similar paths and have seen hard times and are here now to tell the tales of the past, for this, I say congratulations and good job for making it to the future you never felt you would see back then. I wish to thank you for reading my book; as I said, this is a collective story of some of the hardest times in my life; the thoughts I had in my head and the internal wars that I fought are all documented in the words you see on each of the pages. Again, thank you for your support; I wish you nothing but clear skies and warm winds.
