E:\Orders\2\Imges\image001_dObdWZH2.jpgThank you for selecting this title. I hope you and your child enjoy each other's company. These stories will be remembered for years to come. These ten short stories will take your breath away. Children are taken on adventures they could never have imagined. In these stories, they will learn about a big-eyed monkey known as a tamarin. Tarsier comes to appreciate his large eyes after assisting lost friends. In the summer, your children will be able to dance with the firefly’s breeze. Then go on a trip with a raccoon family that has learned the ropes. The significance of rules and family unity.
They might enjoy spending the day with a barn owl who is learning to overcome his fear of the dark.
They'll assist a young girl in rescuing and rehabilitating a sick flying squirrel. She doesn't care how strange it appears to her friends.
We'll travel to Australia and meet a Tasmanian devil who simply does not like saying yes. But he'll realize that saying yes isn't so bad after all.
They will then meet a young hedgehog who is nervous about his first dance. He's afraid he'll poke someone with his spikes, but he'll learn how to have fun. They will then embark on an adventure with a fox who visits a young boy in the middle of the night and travels all over the city, but they quickly realize that home is better. Then your children will meet the tokay gecko, who is mocked because he sounds different than the other geckos. He will learn that it is okay to be different with the help of some friends.
Finally, they will accompany a young skunk who feels left out because he hasn't yet developed his scent. I'm confident that your children will enjoy these stories for a long time.
Chapter 1: Why Did the Tarsier Get His Big Eyes?
Many different and exotic animals live in the forests of the Philippines. We will visit three different types of monkeys in town: the chimp, the gibbon, and the tarsier. While the gibbon may appear to be wearing a wig and the chimp makes amusing faces, the tarsier is the most intriguing. It's tiny and has enormous eyes.
E:\Orders\2\Imges\image002_LENqRnrW.jpgDoug, a young tarsier, has been struggling. He only has a few hours during the day to see the other monkeys before they go to bed and he has to go to school. The tarsier, as you can see, prefers the nighttime. They are most active during this time. So, while the rest of the tarsiers are sleeping, Doug is at school with the other young tarsiers.
Why do I have to go to school now, Mama?
Why can't I join the other monkeys?
Doug complained as his mother combed his hair.
Douglas, we've discussed this several times. It's just the way things are. We must be awake at night. During the day, the sun is too bright for us.
Fine.
Doug grabbed his lunch and made his way out the door to school.
The gibbons and chimps were still awake, at least for another hour, and they always made Doug's walk to school one of the most difficult parts of his day.
His eyes are as big as he is,
exclaimed a young gibbon.
I'm surprised he doesn't trip over them,
said a chimp.
While the majority of the young monkeys teased Doug about his size and eyes, one gibbon tried to be nice. Charles was his name. Charles greeted Doug at school with a reassuring wave and a hello.
Ignore those guys,
Charles advised.
It's difficult.
They're loud," Doug responded.
I understand, but they're just jealous.
What are you envious of?
You're allowed to stay up late.
It's not all that entertaining.
Doug sighed and exited the room, leaving Charles at the door. While the walk to school was unpleasant, Doug quickly forgot about the others once the teacher began. He'd play with the other tarsiers during recess, and by
