1 "The proverbs of Shlomo the son of David, king of Isra'el; 2 are for learning about wisdom and discipline; for understanding words expressing deep insight; 3 for gaining an intelligently disciplined life, doing what is right, just and fair; 4 for endowing with caution those who don't think and the young person with knowledge and discretion. 5 Someone who is already wise will hear and learn still more; someone who already understands will gain the ability to counsel well; 6 he will understand proverbs, obscure expressions, the sayings and riddles of the wise. 7 The fear of Adonai is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline."

    Introduction

For some time now, I have come to know that at moments of great need, there is an even greater need for the presence of angels.

Since the days of the ancient prophets in biblical times, to those of George Washington in the winter of 1777 at Valley Forge[1], angels have always been in our midst when it has mattered most.

For the most part, like all others, my humble experience with the angelic has been personal and eventful.

Angelic experiences have informed my past to the present. They have awakened my hunger to comprehend how the divine interposes and interacts with humanity and how we exist to know him.

This curiosity is what began my writing and has brought much emotion as I have endeavored to look back to see the present, in hope to reconcile my future.

While moving across the globe to Australia some years back, I observed myself with different nations of people, languages and ideas. And what I noticed most is how similar we all are, when there is a real need of the divine. As I see it full circle now, living back in the United States.

From family disputes, feelings of isolation and adoption that has taken up thought life. I have found, that to remedy the burden of finding ways to ease my mind piece by piece, has taken time.

However, I am certain still that although I do not have full control over what does not happen in life, I have learnt to be a part of what does happen. And that has given me cause for courage.

With what I have been afforded, I may offer now as to what has persistently been a buttress through the many times of darkness and unrest. Surprisingly, when I could not see any light on my path ahead, and I suffered from a gnawing that I had been alone.

As I look at where I have been and where I am now, I have purged my soul of it.

[2]"He who made the Pleiades and Orion, who brings deathlike shadows over the morning, who darkens the day into night, who calls for the water in the sea and with it floods the earth — Adonai is his name —"
