About this ebook
ALL of us make mistakes. And too many of us carry the guilt and shame associated with those mistakes. These poems (called "sharings" by the author) reflect a man's struggle to accept God's love. And he shares his deep desire for others to know and feel that inexpressible love as he did.

Choose To Believe - Robert Knox Sr.
Preface
I have found such joy and peace since the day I gave my life to Christ. I would like to be able to inject my peace and joy into others, but knowing that is impossible, I chose the next best way. I have written down my feelings and called them sharings
and I am offering them to all who will read or listen to them. Sharing is love.
I began writing for this book some years ago, not knowing then, where it was going. God knew. I didn’t. I would be awakened, at times, in the mid-of-night by voices inside me, reciting scriptural poetry, using words in ways I was not accustomed to. Beautiful words, not found in my everyday vocabulary. Initially, I just listened, relying on my memory, to write in the morning, what was dictated to me in the nighttime. Naturally I couldn’t write even a small percentage of my hearings. Then one night, I was told to pick up my pen, without delay, and write down those words, that would please my Lord to have me say. Much to my wife’s dismay, I began writing sometimes at 4 A.M. (night light and all). In the morning I would read what I had written. It was like reading someone else’s words, they certainly weren’t mine. I didn’t recognize them as something I may had written. As time went on, I adopted my newfound vocabulary and started using it to glorify God, to tell His message, to spread His Good News, to thank and praise Him, to please Him, and to pray to Him. I pray all readers experience just a bit of the joy and peace I feel as I write.
Author’s note: I was told in no uncertain terms, that my gift of poetry writing was for sharing, not keeping it all to myself.
I was told if I was opposed to, or hesitant to share, then, quite possibly, my well of inspirations could just dry up. Being the procrastinator I am, I came close to losing my gift from God.
Thanks be to God for His faith in me, and His perseverance in pushing me forward.
This book is not a book about religion. It is a book about the role religion plays in the writer’s life, how it impacts his life, and the lives of those he meets. It is not the writer’s intent to try to persuade anyone to believe as he does or to believe in any religion, for that matter. I will admit, though, if any of the words written on these pages happen to fall on fertile ears, a smile would be seen on my
