Introduction
Thank you for purchasing this parent guide to The Mending Chronicles of Liam and Emily. Of all the decisions you have made recently, this is probably one of the best. Whether you have bought this guide merely as a ‘look and see’ before investing in the children’s book, or whether you already have both, it doesn’t matter. I will share with you what you need to know as a concerned parent who wants to help your children through the difficult transition of divorce.
I am a mother myself, so I understand the thoughts and feelings you have as a parent. I share the deep need you have to alleviate your children’s suffering and the lengths you will go to for them to thrive.
I am also a teacher specialised in dealing with children between the ages of 8 and 12. I understand how they think, learn, have fun and feel. Education is important to me, and as you will see, it is a major theme in The Mending Chronicles.
On top of that, I am a counsellor. Most of my experience lies in helping children, and much of that has focused on divorce recovery. While Liam and Emily are fictional children, their characters were birthed out of the many children who have given me access to their
