Chapter 1 : Story of 1947
The name of this book is Black Days of India
, which means that India's black days, you know Emergency has a black day for India, but before talking about an emergency, we will talk about before 1947,
Movement of Quit India which started in 1944, in which Mahatma Gandhi and all revolutionaries their own potential against the British Government, And then the British government arrested all the leaders and the horrific tyranny of the British Government started, the ladders were ransacked on the peoples, Many peoples were hanged but in the second world war British realized that, if we did not get help from all the British colony, they would lose the war, so they accepted the demand of Total Independent
and left all the leaders.
The British had intentions to leave India, at that time Congress was India's largest and only political party, The British wanted to give India to the Congress, the Congress party was the largest organization at that time, Mahatma Gandhi formally operate Congress party, Mahatma Gandhi had two pillars, one was Jawaharlal Nehru and the other was Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the British wanted to go but they wanted to break India.
At that time when the British intended to leave India, the All-India Muslim League
leader Muhammad Ali Jinnah demanded a separate country, due to which there was an atmosphere of anxiety all over India, because Jinnah was not ready to understand anything, Neither did he believe in Mahatma Gandhi nor listen to the Congress, Viceroy of India invited to all leaders of all the provinces and Congress party for meeting.
British government have two proposal.....
The first proposal (proposal of May 16) was to create a single Government in India, in which all the leaders of the province will be given a department, no any department will disturb another department, and the second proposal was Partition of India
. Muslims will be given separately to Pakistan and there will be separate divisions for Muslims of Bengal, Punjab.
But the Congress Party was against it strictly, they did not want India's partition and Jinnah did not want to smallest Pakistan, he wanted Junagadh, Bengal and whole Punjab For Pakistan, all leaders, and Congress have few days for Decision, Jinnah wanted to grouping System in the country, he said that if Muslims were not given separate Pakistan So we need separate assembly. which will be the only right for Muslims, if there were no separate Pakistan then India would have been formed in three Assembly, First for Muslims, second for Congress and third for princely states.
Congress had rejected the second offer and had sought time to answer the proposal, Jinnah also proposed his proposal and said that we can also consider the 16 May proposal
, but we will make rule for grouping, if we will be kept in Opposition then the grouping would be the rule that any department should be leaving the union at any time.
Chapter 2: British 16th May Proposal
After that the Congress convened a meeting ........
Gandhiji: my thing is, the proposal of May 16 is the partition of the country.
Maulana Azad: No Gandhiji, the May 16 proposal is good for us and for the Congress, because it will neither make Pakistan nor will it be more right to the minority.
Nehru: But from the grouping, there will not be any division of India, Pakistan will not be formed, but every street will be a separate Pakistan, there will be a battle in the name of religion
Maulana Azad : But Jawaharji, India will remain the One even if there is a grouping in it, there will be separate government, all the leaders will operate the government by its own capacity.
Sardar: Maulana, accepting the principle of this grouping means to accept Pakistan from one side, India will not be one with that
Maulana Azad : So should the Sardar reject us on May 16?
Sardar: It should not be announced now, you should first see what Jinnah wants.
On the second day, Sardar got news that the British could favour on Jinnah's side because Jinnah accepted both the proposals and the Congress did not accept any proposal.
which Sardar convened an immediate meeting. ..
