Michael was having a hard time looking through heavy snow. It was snowing everywhere around him and his eyesight was blocked. He checked with his GPS and it was saying that the small motel was about five miles ahead. He was really hoping to arrive there before the storm turned worse. On the radio, there was an emergency broadcast. He turned the volume up.

This is an emergency broadcast. Please stay inside. Heavy snow is expected in the next thirty-six hours. Stay inside.

Michael was hoping that the hotel would be open. Otherwise, he was screwed because there wasn't anything else around. I might freeze in this truck if I don't make it to the hotel. His truck was already having difficulties going through the snow but he couldn't give up.

After maybe twenty minutes and countless cigarettes, finally he saw the sign that said that the hotel was only half a mile ahead.

RON WAS LISTENING EMERGENCY broadcast as well. He was standing behind the reception, in the lobby of Lucky Inn. Out of ten tables in the lobby, only one was occupied. He looked at two girls at the table left from him. They were drinking coffee and both of them were quiet. They too have been worried about the incoming storm, Ron could see it on their faces.
