By Sam Raven
()
About this ebook
Racing Winds of Mind consists of original verse penned poetry relating to three different periods of life. In each period, you may feel the attitude of change, not only in the person, but in the land. Verses tell of that time, feelings of the day that are relevant for that place and time, from a personal point of view. A view of "DREAMS". Living through days in the life of this young Florida boy, growing into adult, situations encountered, and what happens to ecology balance when humanity floods a serenity place! Trying to hold onto places, lands, that have survived where they were originally, over 437 years past, without radical change!

Racing Winds of Mind - Sam Raven
My Friend TIANA
French and German, were the only sounds that she heard, the gentle women, who cared for abandoned children,
spoke only their native tongue.
At seven months of age, she left the orphanage. Traveling from Vietnam, and arriving in the United States.
The years of adolescence were extremely hard, filled with learning. Entering adulthood the years were far more intriguing. Leaving home, and hardship she entered military life.
Through years of stress, strain, wars and pain the strength of body and mind grew.
Returning home and entering the civilian work force almost cost her life.
A truck accident (on a mountain road) almost accomplished what two wars could not!
Unconsciousness
and death, were not listed in the book of life, being printed for this time and place.
To tell a tale of a love so true, is but a fantasy of life that is bold, and blue. Leaning on memories of past stories that cannot be told. Stories of endless day, and nights, when stars were so clear, and bright, in a jungle setting that only you know.
The days with you were not the same as the death, blood, and pain. Only in
a secret war
with people that do not have a name, there for a mission, and then they disappear, never to be revealed or seen again.
Like a kitty that chooses a person to love. The same is for mankind, when two people let their Hearts
entwine.
Tiana
Weaving the web of unseen, mystical threads, of never ending love.
The all-knowing, ever-beautiful Golden Female
accepts her given fate. Like the butterfly, fluttering, endlessly from flower to flower, to gather nectar, and planting spores, so that plants will flourish, and renew their image, once more. Each living thing has a Golden Female
in her own way, and time she will master her given destiny. Like the trees, flowers, snakes, birds, and bees. All reproduce for life’s perfect beat. The dance of life is to a wonderful tune, the way that you dance, is to the tune that you hear. Water flowing from a clear mountain stream, is harmony, and love that comes from above. The beautiful female, smiles, constantly! The Colorado Rockies are her home, in the sky. With clear blue water, and loving friends, life goes on in a never-ending pace. Life is filled with love, beauty, and grace.
The Overture
The concert of everyday life sings a song of ever growing virtue. The beat can be fast, or slow, the movement is constant, feeling the unseen sound, the harmony flowing endlessly through unending waves, traveling rapidly throughout ones mortal body. The sensation entering the brain giving eminent satisfaction, and peace. The daily work routine forms a constant tone. Building into a grand concerto, stemming into finality. The base drum sounds, this is the tone set for all of the instruments to follow. When the whistles toot, and all of the brass begins to sound, the drums can be heard, leading all with their deep, mellow, sound. The natural voice is the sweetest heard, and sounds so beautiful when it utters calm, thankful words. Words, seldom used today, are the two, please and thank you.
Time
I often think of you, I wonder what life has awarded you, if you are happy?
I think of Penguins, and kitties, your face flashes into my mind, should I write? Or must I leave everything behind.
The distance of mind, is but a microsecond of thought. The idea of time travel is but to close your eyes, instantly you travel to any point of your life.
The tender moments, or the horror of bad times.
The future is but a page ahead, each day is a page, you do not know the ending.
Ah, the one who wrote the book, knows the ending, also the place, and time.
Personally, every day is to be lived, with love, honesty, shame, and hope. The book of life is endless, so many chapters, and verse, so much to learn. Will we succeed?
The answer is self-contained, send only you will determine the ending.
The Tranquil Period of Fall
The turning of the leaves is a quiet calm,
beautiful sight.
The many different fall colors,
do not appear overnight.
Day by day, the greens turn gray,
the browns to yellow, and purple to orange,
floating, wafting, ever so gently to the ground.
The birds
