About this ebook

This is a compilation of occurrences throughout my eighty-plus years. Some skeptics may find some of the episodes hard to digest. But all of them are 100 percent true! I have compiled some of the more tragic happenings in my life, along with my glorious journey to my salvation. Most Christian testimonies tell of the happiness that came after their salvation.

I had many detrimental setbacks during my life, and I believe that it was inevitable that I was chosen to take the path that was laid out for me. Like most of us Christians, we have had many setbacks, trials, and doubt of our existence, but while reminiscing of all that transpired in my lifetime, I can look back and reflect to the joy of knowing that all things work together for good (Romans 8:28).

God has a plan for each and every one of us! All different but eventually for the glorification of our savior Jesus Christ. I hope that this book will enlighten you. Glory to God. Amen!

    About the Author

Dedicated to Christine Naumann, a little girl who got on a bus that changed the lives of numerous people, including myself. I can attest to the salvation of all my five children, eleven grandchildren, brothers, sister, mother, nieces, nephews, daughters-in-law, and many friends and relatives that have received salvation from Christine stepping on a bus in 1975 at the age of twelve to attend a Bible-believing Christian church.

Only the Lord knows how many have been saved because of this child bringing the word of God home to her parents and family, who then, after their salvation, witnessed to many others, including my nephew who invited me to attend that same church. It goes on and on as you will hear while reading my testimony. There are people being saved to this very day because of her getting on that bus.

The sad note is that she was killed in a hit-and-run accident in New Jersey on January 12, 2007. The driver was never caught. She was forty-three. God has not promised that your life will be easy. I believe that the trials God allows us to go through in life will eventually lead to his praise and glory.

My transformed life in Jesus Christ

    —Angelo Benedetto

    Bill the Plumber

Christine's father was a plumber by trade, and while doing a plumbing job at my nephew's home, he witnessed to him. Upon finishing the job, he invited the family to attend the Sunday-morning service; in return, there would be no charge for the plumbing repairs. My nephew was flabbergasted and agreed to attend and offered to at least pay for the parts.

Christine's father would not take any money, but my nephew slipped some money into his pocket. On the following Sunday, they met in the church lobby, and Christine's father presented my nephew and his family with a Bible that cost much more than the money that had been slipped into his pocket.

And the wheels of salvation began to turn.

How I Got the Name Uncle Dark Cloud

I was born a blue baby and was supposed to die. My name was going to be Gerald, but my father said that since I was going to die, I should be named Angelo. Angelo, interpreted from the Italian language, means angel. Coincidentally, my last name is Benedetto, which means blessed in Italian. Put them together, and you have the name Blessed Angel. Some more comedic disclosure is that my middle name is Michael.

I was brought up during the depression. I can remember having hard bread and coffee for breakfast before walking to grammar school. My mother and father were at work, trying to support our family of eight. I was the youngest of the six children, and I guess I was spoiled, if any of us could be spoiled during the depression. After school, I would go to the playground and play ball for hours. I guess it was a place to escape to from a homelife that had no time to share love and attention that all children need.

I'm sure now, when I look back, that I was loved, but there was no time to give it because of the struggles of my parents to provide for our family. I would be home late for dinner every evening
