The Gathering

Day 1

What are rainmakers? Then Jesus said to his disciples, If any of you wants to be my followers, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross, and follow me.

What does it mean to reign as a rainmaker? It means to rule, hold a royal office, power, dominion, clout, authority, influence, predominance, being greater in number.

And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. (Matthew 16:19, ESV)

What it means is this: a selfless follower. You have been called out of darkness into God's wonderful light. Light has no confusion; it is revealing and brings focus.

Rainmakers don't faint in opposition or call judgments but are devoted (set strongly) toward the Great Commission.

Over the next seven weeks, you will learn the keys of prayer and scriptures. During your studies, you will have the opportunity to examine and explain facts that you learn and how they relate to you and life. Throughout the next seven weeks, you will have the opportunity to complete your gratitude gallery. This is a place to express what you have learned and share with the Lord your thankfulness to him.
