Foreword
What if you know future events that will happen to you with family and friends? What if you see someone and go into a type of trance and go into a certain time in the future with the person and you see whether good or bad happens at that moment? What if you’re thinking about telling someone? Do you think they will believe you? What if you’re laughed at and humiliated? What if the authority gets involved? What if they have you imprisoned or even committed? What if you know this is going to happen? What if you are not able to stop this? What if you are able to change this future, will you? Even though you know it may hurt a lot of people or kill someone else. What if none of this is real? What if it is then? What if?

Chapter 1
Cheaters Do Prosper
John Mancino, who lives in the quaint little town of Cleghorn, Indiana, works as an office manager for the Water Department. He is thirty-one years old and is married to MaryAnn. They have no children but are trying. They live in a very nice neighborhood. Their house is older but fairly large.
Their best friends are Tom and Patty Evans. Tom is a police officer. He is thirty years old, as well as his wife, Patty. She works at Cleghorn Memorial Hospital as a nurse.
Yes, this is a story that is hard to believe. John and MaryAnn Mancino, who are very much in love and happily married for the past three years, live a good life.
Now, MaryAnn, the housewife, who often goes shopping or visits the salon for hair, nails, and facials with massages is okay with what John does on his spare time. But if he is going to be late or drunk, she wants him to call either for a ride or fair warning.
They’re very close with Tom and Patty. So close that the four of them are tighter than most families are. Plus, it was funny and peculiar how they met.
They met on the same exact day but at different locations. It was about nine months ago when John met Patty at Nicole’s salon in the waiting area. The way they were talking was like they were flirting with each other.
MaryAnn met Tom at a bar called Beenie’s Tavern. She was there to buy a case of beer for home. Being so heavy, she dropped it, and it went all over the floor. She was so embarrassed that a tear ran down her face. Tom was there, sitting at the bar. He just went off duty, saw her, went over, and helped MaryAnn up off the floor.
The owner, Beenie, is a nice person who came around to help also. Tom told him that this was an accident and not to charge her for two cases, just one. He agreed. The beers were in glass bottles, the way they like it. MaryAnn was so grateful. She sat at the bar with Tom and bought him a drink. The way they were talking, it was like they were flirting with each other.
Right after Nicole was done cutting John’s hair, he went over to Patty and nervously asked.
John. I have some time this afternoon, so if you want to, I mean, um, you know, when you’re done here, uh, would you like to go and, I don’t know, have a cup of coffee somewhere?
Patty. Do you think we should, being married and all? I mean, I would love to go, John. But is it the right thing to do?
John. It’s just an innocent cup of coffee, nothing else.
So Patty agreed. Then she told him to meet her at the House of Coffee, a little diner about five miles down the road. Then Nicole came in the waiting area and heard Patty tell this to John.
Patty. I will be done here in about an hour, then I’ll meet you there.
John. I’ll be waiting.
Now Nicole, who knew both couples, especially Patty and Tom, who she knew for a long time, wanted to say something to Patty. As she was working on her hair, she decided not to and mind her own business. Then Patty started asking her about John.
Patty. He is very nice, easy to talk to. That makes you feel comfortable around him. That’s my impression of him.
Nicole. You right, Patty. He is very nice, good-looking too.
Patty. This is just between us, okay?
Nicole. Of course, Patty, you know me.
Meanwhile, getting back to MaryAnn and Tom, who were still at the bar, drinking, she asked him this.
Maryann. We have been here awhile. Is there any place you have to be shortly?
Tom. No, not really. Why? What do you have in mind?"
Maryann. I don’t know, just somewhere else.
Tom. How about them Lucky Motel? It’s a few miles out of town.
Maryann. Wow! You must have read my mind. Besides, I know where it is at.
Remember, both couples were very much in love with each other. Just a point.
They both left the tavern rather briskly. Tom went first, carrying the case of beer. Then MaryAnn followed shortly after. Tom put the case of beer in the trunk of her car. Off he went, with MaryAnn right behind. He took out his cell phone to call Patty.
Patty. Tom, where are you at?
Tom. Is that how you answer the phone?
Patty. I don’t know what you mean. (Chuckling.)
Tom. Just forget about it. Besides, where are you at?
Patty. I am at the salon with Nicole, getting my haircut. Remember?
Tom. Listen, I probably won’t be coming home tonight.
Patty. You won’t? Why not?
Tom. I’ll be working extra shifts, covering for some of the guys.
Patty. That’s great.
Tom. What’s so great about it, Patty? Why so happy?
Patty, realizing how she was acting, then settled down. I don’t mean it’s great you’re working all these hours, especially at night. I mean that it will be overtime money for us.
Tom. Yeah, I guess.
Patty. Besides, I am going out with Nicole, so I won’t be home until later as well.
Tom. All right, I will see you in the morning.
Patty. Okay, bye. Stay safe.
It was about half an hour later when Patty was leaving the salon. As she drove away, Nicole, who was watching her, just shook her head and said this to herself.
Nicole. I hope you know what you’re doing, girl.
Nicole’s friend and coworker in the salon, JoAnn, overheard Nicole talking and went up to her to see
