About this ebook

After high school, a coal miner's daughter from a small, rural country place called Havaco, West Virginia, leaves town in hopes of finding a better life, employment, or striking it rich somehow. Her family was poor so they dreamed big. She needed a job paying enough to take care of her needs, as well as enough to send some money back home to help the family. The president of United Coal Miners Union, John Lewis, was murdered; the coal mines were shut down and the coal miners were now jobless. The family was now living off of government cheese, dried milk, and beans. She had never been away from home and she had only read about the city. Now she finds herself in a place full of strangers, huge buildings, and dual highways. She had been instructed to get in a Bible believing and teaching church so she could make friends and be safe. She gets married and, because of the betrayal of her in-laws, gets divorced. She first turns angry, then becomes bitter and has unforgiveness in her heart. She turns inward for self-gratification. Unbeknown to her, her intimate life was being recorded. This keeps her from having a normal life so she goes back to square one-looking for a Bible believing and teaching church. Thereafter, her life takes many twists and turns. What she discovers will make you shiver. This book was sabotaged seven times to cover up the truth, but the truth got out anyway. The most valuable thing in the world is the truth. One cannot have trust without the truth. Most times it is hidden behind a bunch of lies. We, as the people of God, must live by the truth or there will be no trust. The word of God is true. It lives in me.

    Preface

What is your purpose in the earth?

We find these answers when we diligently seek and chase after God.

When we know our purpose and become diligent in doing what God’s purpose is for us, He will fulfill the purpose. You should not allow anything or anyone to get in the way of what God has assigned or commissioned you to do.

God will show you that He is one with your spirit.

When I became The Living Sacrifice on an Assignment, God was pleased how I submitted myself to the Living Sacrifice. To do His will. I was pleased to know God had received me upon His Altar in Heaven.

God wants us to trust His word of truth. We must show God how we are standing on His word of truth, for His promises and expecting Him to fulfill them.

    Deuteronomy 28:1

And it shall come to pass if thou shall harken diligently unto the voice of thy God to observe and do all His commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set me on high above all nations of the earth.

    Dedication

This book is dedicated to all my haters who tried to stop the progress of this book.

Know that this book was not birthed out of unforgiveness nor anger…quite the contrary. The book was birthed by the person of Holy Spirit and to be shared with the people of God whose ears are not plugged up and their eyes are not blinded.

    Wake up!

Wake up does not mean it’s the morning. It means wake up and hear what the spirit of the Lord is saying to the church today!

    Acknowledgments

To the person of the Holy Spirit who is the very reason for this book to be birthed. It truly is a God thing.

I would like to say a heartfelt thanks to my wonderful friend, Deborah Malachi, for her relentless hard work to type this book and get it done in a timely fashion.

Thanks to Lonnie Hunter for encouraging me to get it done! Thanks to my family of God for praying for me.

Thanks to my wonderful daughter, Temeka, who believed in me as I struggled on this journey.

Thanks to my four grandchildren, Colin, Ciara, Christian and Christoph for helping me to believe in myself.

    Introduction

This is a country girl and a coal miner’s daughter who migrated from a small country setting to a big city of the nation’s capital of Washington, DC. She had never seen dual highways, street cars, bright lights, or huge buildings all in a row.

She had been told not to talk to strangers or trust city people because most times they wanted to steal from you or bring harm to you. She had been instructed to find a Bible believing and teaching church, to make friends, and be safe.

In the latter part of 1961, she met the love of her life who was a native West Virginian. She felt safe and secure with him. They were married on May 19, 1962. She was very much like Hannah; she too was barren for nine years. Then God rewarded her with a six-pound, three-ounce beautiful baby girl! She was a miracle!

After about six years of marriage, she realized she had in-law problems after the neighbors informed her that her in-laws had betrayed her.

The cousin living with her in-laws was really not their cousin. She was her husband’s childhood girlfriend.

She became bitter and angry with God because these were the people she trusted the most. Now, she had been betrayed.

At this time in her life, she fell prey to Satan’s tricks and trades. She never slid on a pole or became an adulteress, but she was guilty of self-gratification which was not becoming to her character. Unbeknownst to her, every little nasty, dirty thing she ever did was caught on film by her in-laws. It put her in a state of shock. She turned inward within herself; cutting off any relationships that she could have had because of the embarrassment it caused her.

She divorced her husband after seventeen years of marriage. At that point, she realized her life was pretty much at a standstill. So she committed herself back to Christ. She joined a renowned church in the DMV area where she served for thirty-four years.

Before joining that church, she was already in prison without walls for some twenty-four years.

There was a clown she worked with who was blackmailing her because she would not date him. He said he had something on her and that she was cursed. She learned somehow that this clown had footage of her shameful and disgraceful secrets. His threat to her was that if she dated anyone, he would release this shameful footage. So, she ends up at a church because she needs covering, refuge, and a hiding place. She had become the perfect little Christian; crossing her legs at the ankle, saying all the right things, quoting the right scriptures, serving as an usher for twenty-four years, becoming a deacon, and working in the New Members Ministry.

She held her breath most of the time; praying that this devil would not expose her junk that happened fifty years prior.

After thirty-one years of faithfulness to God in serving Him, on August 12, 2012, He gave her a promise that was unbelievable. She carried that promise for two years. Just as God was getting ready to fulfill that promise, God allowed the enemy to undermine Him and take the promise away because He needed to reveal and uncover Satan’s manipulation and control. The enemy on the outside wall of the church sent footage to the enemy on the inside of the church who began to torment and oppress her with offenses from the pulpit. The shepherd asked the enemy to send the rest of the footage instead of destroying all the footage that he already had. He said he did not like the enemy but felt he could use him.

The Golden Promise said, This junk is an old mess; you don’t have anything new on ‘The Living Sacrifice’ so do not send any more junk.

This shepherd had lost a good friend because of his manipulative strategies to control. His behavior had become erratic as that of a taskmaster. The Promise came to his office at the church to begin his day at work. When he went to use the toilet in his office, he flushed it and it blew up. Was this an act of a taskmaster or was it an act
