Introduction

As a Christian, you see in Jesus a sacrifice above and beyond human understanding of sacrifice. Only the verse God is love... (1 John 4:16, AMP) can explain to a satisfactory degree why He never gives up and never counts the cost against Himself, as well as why sometimes His followers are expanding, purifying, and consecrating each member of His family--the family of God. His call echoes through the centuries, reverberating in preachers, teachers, exhorters, and prophesiers. In each child of God there is a garden, a sanctuary, a place of divine encounter where relationship to Himself is established in earnest, divine depths of the soul.

Out of this relationship comes the cry – not my will but Thine be done. That commitment recognizes it is His will that must be done, and our trust
