Chapter One
Born Free
They called it the sexual revolution. The slogan If it feels good, do it
was the new moral compass. Take care of number one
was the driving force for the pursuit of happiness in the fast-growing, free-sex, self-satisfying cultural shift of the 60s, the baby boomer era, the breeding ground that gave birth to the current amoral environment in which every man pretty much does that which is right in his own eyes. A post-Christian society where the only thing that is considered unacceptable, and unloving is love himself—the Lord, Jesus Christ.
God is love. Satan cannot be love, and although Satan’s original sin was the pride and arrogance of his ambition and statement, I will be like the most high,
the truth remains that God is love, and Satan cannot ever be or become God (love). Satan is the great imitator, the master of deceit, and he imitates all things good in a feeble attempt to be like God.
Since Satan cannot be genuine love as God is love, he has successfully redefined love in our culture today to become something that he can be, but God cannot be, and that new definition of love is tolerance.
This new tolerance is a tolerance of everything except true, genuine love himself.
In this modern culture of tolerance,
which paints the Christian life out to be one of outright boredom, strict rules, rigid commandments, and even hatred—as we are accused of being haters when we practice the love of God—there is a most wonderful, liberating truth that has been strategically hidden by the enemy, and this book, Got Life: The Power of Abundant Thinking, is all about getting that truth out to as many folks as possible, and disclosing that which is perhaps the best kept secret on planet Earth!
Jesus Christ tells us in John 10:10, The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy, I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Got life? Life begins at the foot of the cross of Jesus with salvation, and that is only the beginning! Real life, fulfilling life, joy-filled life continues from there and only gets better each and every day the more we get to know him!
In my BC (before Christ) days, I was looking for love in all the wrong places just like so many people still are today. I smoked pot (and yes, I inhaled!), I drank, and I did a whole list of other stuff not worth mentioning, but all associated with what the world calls partying. When I got right with the Lord, my so-called friends disappeared; but before they split, they asked me, Aren’t you going to miss the partying?
The truth is that with Jesus, hey, that is where the real party begins! After all, what is a party anyway? When two or more people get together and enjoy something they have in common
sounds like a pretty good definition!
We believers party every Sunday! We party every day of the week! We party every moment of every day because we are never alone! The Holy Spirit of the living God dwells in us and, praise the Lord, this is living, and it really does not get any better than the Christian life!
I party with my real friends now, and I do not get a hangover. I remember where I have been, whom I have talked to, and what I have said. I am in control of my bladder, I do not get nauseated, and . . . you
