In my walk with God, he has led me down different pathways. There have been times of joy, as well as sadness; but thru it all, he has never forsaken me! He has given me the ability to express myself in ways which has given me inner peace! My poetry! I feel blessed beyond measure! God is awesome. I know it is my duty to do my part in telling of His redeeming grace and love! Every day, I see wondrous, glorious beauties of nature! The beauty of a rainbow after the rain. In spring, nature comes back to life again""trees budding, beautiful flowers, baby animals! Each season has an appeal all its own! Time to enjoy life! We are blessed with wonders of sight and sound! Life is there for us to savor; contentment should be a treasure beyond measure! My wonderful family is truly my special gift from God! They are there for me with love and support! I'd be very lonely without them! I've tried to convey through these poems my love and faith in God, also special gifts of family and nature!

This book is dedicated to the memory of my mother and dad, who were my first teachers. Their kind and loving ways taught me to appreciate the finer things of life: good morals, love for family, friends, and nature! Also, I’d like to be able to share with the rest of my family the value of life, which has become so precious and important to me.

Introduction

Poems of My Faith and Values came about as answered prayers from God, my Heavenly Father, to let me know I was his child! I was going thru a difficult time, and it seemed that nothing was going right: I began praying, asking God for assurance that I was not a total failure! He started giving me poems, and I know he is going to be with me thru all my life! I praise him, always! I love to write, and thru my writing, I hope I can be a blessing to others!

The Precious Blood!

When I think of HIM who died upon a cruel tree

It was the Blood of JESUS that was shed for even me

O, the awful pain that HE must have bore

I finally realize the love of my dear LORD!

O, the precious blood of JESUS my LORD

Cleanses away the sins that I had bore

HE keeps me in HIS love

From HIM I’ll not stray

Because I know I’m HIS child today!

I can’t understand why HE would die for me

Hanging upon the cross at Calvary

Shedding HIS life’s Blood for you and me

Such great love for all to see

This was the greatest love that has ever been

So I will tell it again and again!

Chapter 1

Faith

My Wonderful Friend

One day in my journey, on the Road of Life;

Filled with heartache, trouble, and strife;

I met SOMEONE who became a most wonderful FRIEND,

Who has stood by me thru thick and thin!

My FRIEND’S name is JESUS; He’s my Precious LORD;

The LORD whom I truly adore!

HE’S been the ONE who always cares;

I have no doubt, when I need HIM, HE’LL always be there!

When I’m low in spirit and feeling blue;

When I need SOMEONE to talk to, I call on HIM,

HE hears my prayer; I know HE’S always there!

My FRIEND broke the chains of sin;

Which was a bond on my soul;

HE gave me such joy when HE lifted sin’s heavy load!

In my heart, I have sweet songs of praise;

They’re for HIM who took all the sin away!

My heart and soul are filled with glee; from bondage, I’m free!

To my LORD, I’ll always try to be true;

To do HIS bidding my whole life thru;

Then when my life on Earth is o’er,

I will stand on Heaven’s shore!

I’ll look on the face of my Wonderful FRIEND,

Thanking and praising Him for my eternal Home

Which HE has given me at life journey’s end!

Celebration of the King

We celebrate Jesus Christ our Lord and King,

Master Most High;

His praises we bring!

Coming as a babe, so long ago;

Bringing the Father’s message,

Salvation’s plan, we may know!

Born in a stable;

A humble manger was His bed,

No royal pillow to cradle His head!

Coming from Realms of Glory to Earth below;

He was sent, the Father’s will to do,

Bringing perpetual hope to me and you!

He grew from a babe to a young child,

So tender and mild!

Young adult to a man;

This royal one,

For God the Father, took a stand!

The messages of Redemption,

Love and grace;

He went to Calvary, dying in our place!

On the third day, he Arose again!

He lived forevermore!

He conquered death, hell, and sin!

At this special time of the year;

Let us honor the one, who to the heart brings cheer,

Love, and
